  2. I was out topping up hoppers just now . Next to one of my covers was a couple with two dogs off the lead , having a picnic. On inspection of the small wood , which is normally full of pheasants, I noticed it was empty. ? My blood pressure was rising and I approached the couple and in as polite a manner as I could muster I informed them that they were a long way from the footpath, and it wasn’t a picnic area . They said ,” yeah , yeah , whatever, we will finish our food and then we will go “, I asked them to go now please , no response. Ok then I thought , see how you like this , I went around

  3. At some point in recent history the media stopped employing news reporters and started employing news commentators.... there's a very significant difference between the two. Proper investigative journo's who risk life and limb to out corruption and injustice and tell the stories of little known heroes are cornerstones of democracy, but these days society would rather just listen to some polished piece of shit who's never left their safe little box spout their comforting opinions.

  4. Old couple in heaven The couple were 85 years old and had been married for sixty years. Though they were far from rich, they managed to get by because they watched their pennies. Though not young, they were both in very good health, largely due to the wife’s insistence on healthy foods and exercise for the last decade. One day, their good health didn’t help when they went on a rare vacation and their plane crashed, sending them off to Heaven. They reached the pearly gates, and St.. Peter escorted them inside. He took them to a beautiful mansion, furnished in gold and fine silks, with a

So now I sit on a chair in the back garden , with a sheet wrapped around me , while my daughter hacks away with the dog grooming clippers , it’s a pathetic, sad sight of a defeated man .?

  9. I watched the trump election live in the company of Americans and everyone of them was over the moon When he hit 270 since then I’ve had a massive interest in the politics of the United States and it’s absolutely amazing to me the bias against and for him across the huge networks . I’m not American , I’m British but I firmly believe that ifhilary had served it would have affected my situation a lot more as I think I would have been Somewhere with work. when I see the hysteria of blm , the liberals I thank god i was born a lad from the north f England. I don’t know how he dose it, we split up when out and have a different view on things but both get results. Three outings on the bounce the other week?

  15. I think trump will have a landslide victory. The mainstream media is totally biased. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can see the BS they are peddling. I was in the States earlier in the year. Nearly every American I got chatting to was interested to hear my thoughts on Trump . When I told them I thought he was a better choice than Hilary they nearly all said , “we voted for Trump , but we don’t tell anybody that “ . The polls don’t question the average low earning American, and people who do vote Trump are kind of embarrassed to admit it . Also he is the guy wh

  20. Golden Syrup: A man with a completely bald head and only one leg is invited to a Xmas fancy dress party. He doesn't know what to wear to hide his head and his wooden leg, so he writes to a fancy dress company to explain his problem. A few days later he receives a parcel with a note: Dear Sir, Please find enclosed a Pirate's outfit. The spotted handkerchief will cover your bald head and with your wooden leg you will be just right as a Pirate. The man is offended that the outfit emphasizes his disability, so he writes a letter of complaint. A week passes and he receives anot

  28. One question asked at the daily brief yesterday was why the numbers of +ve cases in North of England and Scotland are so much higher than down South. No real explanation offered, but I wondered if this was maybe a sign that a degree of ‘herd immunity’ already exists in the population. Certainly pre-lockdown I think the virus was much more prevalent in the South. Think Vallance said yesterday of the peak months back, that as many as 100k a day may have been infected too. A lot of what’s happening now looks haphazard and even reckless depending on your viewpoint, but I think that the ‘shee

There are now about 10k greys and a number of canadas all around the village edges with a thousand or so just starting to drop on one of our fields so we are giving them a day or two to settle and number of others will follow. Deeks out of the loft, pity they are all canada deeks but better than nothing (might try to paint them at some stage) and put up a hide for the duration. Fingers crossed and we do need luck as there are s

  31. @Greyman Found someone else's work on the same point. So this is what we see published on whatever and sometimes the media erroneously reference. Just basic case numbers, what an analyst might refer to as 'raw data'. But like you said a while back they're increasing testing volume which logically will lead to more positives even if there's not actually an increased number of infections. Well here's that data and as we can see the "second wave" don't look half as bad.... Which you can see has a similar trend to deaths, which gives a bit of confidence that we're now re

Numbers 112 and 113 were hard won to be honest .The full moon dosnt best work with the hunter I’ve found but these things have to eat and both eventually came to a deer head I had staked out .A small shoot near me with no keeper to speak of just a farmer feeding birds having trouble with a few foxes taking pheasants first light .Somebody else had apparently had a go but without success .Been on my list for a while but time and other commitments meant it had to take a back seat . The shoot borders a large estate where they hammer the foxes incessantly so I’m guessing these foxes had seen and

I know it’s a bird off the list these days and rightly so but Jesus Christ, them lot above were absolute Starling bashers... from an old chinky B2... paid for, by cheque, and delivered by pat by the post, for 35 quid a week later. Rotten rifle, but the foundation, along with the lead above that, probably, to be honest, is why we’re all on this forum to this day. The good old days them were... Quite literally, compared to the times we’re living now. ?

  40. A common issue today is that the extractor claws are stamped from steel sheet. Burrs from the punch an die are often left on the stamped parts. These burrs then impede on the free movement in the machined grooves in the bolt. My first port of call would be to remove the extractor spring. The extractors (note which one goes where because they may be different) and stone them flat one a fine wet stone.

They never did like like the smooth ones and I had some left over from the house so my mate got his lads to throw them on so all matching with the house roof now. Sleep boxes are breeze blocked at back of kennel with a lift up lid. Insulated floor with thermaboard then a 3ml plastic wipe clean floor but they got Astro turf thermal blankets and a heat lamp if needed ?. Better heating than me at the minute I got no heating downstairs
