Will it really be the dream you all imagine?....yes, for me it has been, the freedom here in Canada compared to the uk is night and day..... as for going to work....unless your loaded, yes, you would have to go to work pretty much what ever country your in, the difference is the quality of the way you work, it`s more laid back here, yes, you do a days work but not with the same pace as some of the places I've worked in the uk, i wouldn't necessarily say you would need to be a highly skilled person to get a good wage to live on here, a skilled person can live really well. a handyman trades23 points

I've always been fascinated by the different tools I have seen different people use. From chainsaws to backwards bent pitchforks. When I'm digging fox or groundhog I use traditional tools. In the swamps in a kayak different rules apply.I need lightweight disposable tools designed for digging roots in between trees.I just replaced some of my tools for the start of the season. Went to hardware store. I put a square hook in the end of the industrial broomstick. This walking stick helps me get up and down muddy banks by hooking tree roots. It can also be used as a chew toy for a19 points

Now it’s just my opinion but I think she was a political prisoner, she was made an example of on Starmers orders. It doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree with her tweet, getting 31 months for a tweet, when Huw Edwards walks free can’t be fair. I think this will backfire massively on Starmer, Connolly is having a meeting today with the Trump Administration to discuss freedom of speech, and we know what Trump and Vance think ! She is already becoming a martyr and a poster girl of the right, and even people on the middle ground and the left think she has been mistreated. St18 points

To all terriermen who are wrong side of 50, youll know the feeling when someone half your age jumps in to do abit. Fact of life I suppose. Some dogs must be same. It seems like last year i bred a litter trying to get a border/ lakey type. failed and got mongrels but wastage was low to be fair to em. took em out today and thought the bitch looks old and shes only 5 at christmas. Time flies but hell of a bitch that Ive spoilt abit on tough days.15 points

Back in the day I picked cockles for a living. It was seasonal about five months of the year. It was a get rich quick game and it attracted lots of crazy people. There were gangmasters paying illegal immigrants washers, people who had never been on a beach before and people like me who got gold fever. We fished two tides a day. Just fished and slept. The rewards were phenomenal. Guys could routinely make more in a day than they could in a month. Every day! I bought all the gear. Two 4x 4s, two boats, and an ATV and trailer. I had 4 guys working with me. I had been a commercial15 points

No shock to see that whatever the popular opinion is on a thread you go the opposite way... If everyone on this thread had slated them you would have been the only support.. We can always count on you mate lol11 points
