  1. I had no idea what to call this topic.A few weeks ago I had a notion that saltwater striped bass would migrate from a lake up a long winding creek. This creek is 70 miles from my house and I haven't explored it before but I couldn't let go of this idea.I assumed I could catch one. After several days of walking and kayaking I hadn't caught any.I did learn some history and meet some critters along the way. After several days of making the long drive.Walking and kayaking until my body hurt.I began to wonder why I am so stubborn. Why couldn't I just admit that I was wrong.Satu

  5. Is it just me because I’m weird as f**k or can anyone else just genuinely not tolerate lateness ?? Like, with me, it’s to the point that I get genuinely f***ing enraged ! I don’t understand it at all, I never wait, I don’t try and call, I just drive away if it’s a mobile thing but with things you can’t drive away from, I absolutely want to do the person damage ! Just be minimum 5 minutes early…..it’s not f***ing hard. Id be ashamed to conduct myself like that where I can’t even manage to tell the f***ing time.

  6. Going through some old pics .for over 30 years ive kept bushers ,from sealyhams to spaniel crosses, failed earthdogs that were real ens for bushing when we were younger , ive had the privilege to own some real good bushers and dedicated any free time to these little warriors. Ive been up and down the country and over to ireland with bushers and lurchers and had some cracking weekends.

A man is rich by the things he can live without mate, im with you my kids and grand kids all live within an 100 yards of me and im never happier than sitting out on the grass cooking for all and sundry watching the little ones fish and play while the adults sit round a fire chewing the cud costs fa bar the grub and is more fulfilling than any car or holiday money can buy

  16. 12 years ago on a train back from Paris after an extremely nice week visiting the city, eating some outstanding meals in great places and generally having the best time money could buy…..I said to myself “hold on, would I tolerate this f***ing scam off a private person ?” Fact is, if the it wasn’t the government nobody would tolerate being ripped off so much to just be abused….and it is abuse, there’s no other word for it, it’s total and utter abuse done under the illusion of wealth. And that wealth is an illusion most of the time, most of it is on someone’s book…..that’s how th

  19. Went back to Essex for another go at finding a big tooth but still no joy.finds this year were way down on last year.found about 160 in 5 days.last time would have been 350 plus so not good.not very busy so just down to bad timing I guess.anyway health issues and not really upto putting in the miles and bending down to see these little teeth all the time is getting a bit much.so a couple of pictures to show what I found.the black circular object is a bony fish vertebrae which is very old.might be 200million or so.

  20. Must have been well out of shape last bank holiday as I thought I was not up to the 6/8 miles twice a day bending down looking for teeth plus climbing over rocks.Glad to say since Starting swimming and getting back on the mountain bike things are looking up .Anyway this time has been worth it finally got a more complete mackerel shark tooth plus a big fish vertebrae.Concentated on finding a big one and after 5 years of looking my luck improved big time. This big one is about 50 million years old.

  29. Well, we are 3.5 years into the small holding project and getting on the top side. Few bits to do this year but pretty much broke its back, mainly now is about improving to maximise yields and how to make the most of it, succession planting, storage, pickling etc. So.....I needed a new project and here she is. Shetland Saker. Hull and top side in good condition needs full fit out as its been stripped out by previous owner. That suits me because I would have stripped it anyway. Steady away at it this year restoring her with a view to hitting the canals/rivers next spring. Looking

  32. When i lived on hippy sites we once had some irish park up a few hundred yards away and a few of the lads came down to our site generally on some blag or spouting utter shite like most p***y's do, anyway we had a 3 legged lurcher on site and she was a big strong looking thing and what a shame she'd been run over and had lost her front leg. These lads asked what happened to her leg and i told them we ate it, i said we were living on sugar loaf mountain in wales and had been snowed in for a few weeks and we were all starving and rather than kill the dog, because she was a good dog we cut off her

Offered $1200 because that's the goin rate on Facebook marketplace, he said hell no too much and to just bring him something and come get it when I had a chance. Well got home a shooting tripod I knew he wanted and $600 and now I have a boat and trailer drive one about the same size at work for crew changes but pa
