Had another evening shooting with @Blackmag and his son tonight. Hopefully I'll drag them out for a days beagling or with the foxhounds before the end of the season. Will definitely do some fishing with them both this season as well. I couldn't miss tonight. I had to stop shooting as I knew I couldn't carry any more Thank you Al. It's been a pleasure to meet your family and been welcomed into you home . Will definitely get you on our shoot next year and have some sport in-between

Just heard back from the British Museum about two treasure trove things after over a year. The Posey ring. And these for coins. Apparently the local museum want to buy both lots, so they have gone to valuation. Fingers crossed for a good result. Cheers Arry

Last day at my weekend office today, lovely day for it, there wasn’t many birds left but they all had some shooting and got through a mental amount of booze, had a lad shoot that had never picked up a shotgun before and managed to shoot his first flying chicken

To be honest the drive from Santa Cruz to here has been beautiful, Big Sur area particularly, that stretch of Highway 1 reminds me of the Cornish North Coast, very dramatic cliffs into the Sea, but the mountains and the Redwood forests behind give it an extra special back drop that can't be compared...in awe of the place mate
