Might be of interest for some. Rainham was the first known centre of coursing in Essex. And where the first running of the Barbican cup was run and The first recorded meeting was held there in 1845, and coursing continued intermittently until the marshes were sold in 1906 to the War Office , the marshes were 12 mile from center of London a place where us and most folk for miles would go to for a days hunting altho the war office changed the nature of the land in the war with rifle ranges it changed from coursing land to rat rabbit n fox heaven9 points

Must be a different setup in England. I do the terrierwork for a mounted pack here and have done now for a number of seasons, and we’re all like family. I got into riding a few years back now and don’t own my own horse and a couple of members numerous times have given me a horse for free absolutely delighted to see me up on a horse. Ride up front and for free. Hunt ball tickets given to me every year. Free feed for my dogs. It’s my life and I wouldn’t talk bad about it one bit. From washing out kennels, walking hounds , going to hound shows, autumn hunting , and hunting. It’s a full way of lif4 points

He had a particular penchant for parcel line ones . When they pulled up he was off , over the wall then the front gate and would either bail in the van if it was open or circle frantically until the cou3 points

As long as you have farmers/game keepers...there will always be work for the terrier boys that go about their business under the radar....no need for 20 quads and pick ups it's no wonder the hunts draw all the attention...brought it up on themselves, let's be honest2 points
