I listened to Ben Habib and I got what he was saying about all the fanfare and much ado about tories joining reform. As he said, they were part of the establishment and the reason he and others like him started reform in the first place. I think his big worry is that reform will just morph into a tory party. That said, there has to be some tories out there who still have tory values and are more akin to reform than what the tory party has now become. Time will tell I suppose.

I’ve just watched a Greek diplomat woman insisting that the Elgin marbles were stolen from Greece by the British. Yes this is up in Otago, where it is dryer and warmer, down further South where I live we get coast rain all year round, so the grass remains green, Otago grass is normally burnt off by Xmas however this year at least Otago has had a huge amount of rain so it looks a picture of green at least until the summer temperatures kick in soon. One thing that's interesting is, if you travel more than one hour in any direction, the country looks so very different.
