First real spring day today, lambs in the fields, noticeable rise in temp, flowers starting to bloom, saw bees about... Season be over in few weeks for me, I stop Sunday hunting around Patricks Day. Got 4 mixy rabbits in the cover, five rats from 3 marks and flushed lots of rabbits and birds. Tired dogs now at home in the kitchen. Terrier was going non stop, flushing catching bunnies and marking/digging/killing rats. Mixy is wiping out big numbers around this land but I did see a good few young uns so hopefully they've got immunity and still a good few about. Auld lurcher really showing h

Cheers pal.. yes, we parked opposite the Derwent Inn pub and the path goes behind there and it's a decent climb to begin with but easy going once it levels off. Did a reccy walk around there over Christmas and there quite a few pitchs by the rocks along there. My ankle held up with the pack on too which was a relief! Lol! Been off the cattys for a while due to tennis elbow, and no I don't play tennis pmsl. But been messing with lighter bands . I always liked them gypsy frames. Bought a couple but can't for the life of me get used to shooting tube. Anyway I put some flat bands on it and been plinking with it and loving it. Also a good while ago I managed to pick a pair of custom John Jefferies frames up very cheap. But was scared to shoot em in case I got fork hit on them lol. Strangley lost my mojo for posting for some unexplained reason! Not really a big talker at the best of times anyway I guess!! Noticed a break in the weather 2 weeks back and managed a night in the Peaks on derwent edge. Cracking spot out of the wind overlooking Sheffield. Only 1.5 mile walk in from the Derwent Inn car park.
