Was no great numbers today although I needed to be home by 1 so short and sweet. Packed Mia, Amber and little Hector and took off . My plan today was to have the pup jumping some walls be in amongst some hill sheep and hopefully when she's finished being a pain in the ass mark 1 or 2 holes . 1st 10 mins where the usual like tourettes at Amber until she settled. 1st hole was a kill in so we moved on, Mia is just coming back from a bad injury and today showed she's about 3 weeks away from anything testing yet . Little Hector's only young but starting to move them now and th11 points

I know it Christmas and a time for good will to all men and all that but I don't get it as the death is being reported as a suicide and complaints the Bibby Stockholm is like a prison. You travel across god knows how many continents because your life is in danger and one would presume live in a shit hole. You by pass a number of safe countries on the way to get to the UK where you are put up in a centrally heated refurbished room with all mod cons, gym, games room, instant access dental and medical care, 3 meals a day, £40+ a week, free phone, free travel to and from your accommodation in10 points

This is an absolutely true, first hand story. Around 1980 I was contracted to an Arab sheik. He was horse mad and extremely rich. He saw the advert for, I think it was Mobil oil, on tv, the one with the white stallion, and decided he had to have that horse and bought it. Anyway, it was very highly stung and uncontrollable anywhere near a mare, so decided to have it gelded. At the same time there was a crippled old donkey that wandered around the compound, so another Brit contractor asked the English vet if he could put the donkey down when he came to geld the stallion.8 points

Hungarian googlies with big ole suet dumplings.......it were georgeous...dumps' tasted of beef and fresh bread with a peppery twang6 points

Not quite the Mobil stallion, but a nice, easy going young horse; Not mine, by the way. It’s far easier and cheaper for an old fart like me to borrow than own ! Cheers.6 points

Not on the same level as a a pure white stallion but I once drove into kennels to meet an old farmer who said he had brought a foal in, as nobody around he had stuck it in a loose box. Now as the same farmer has brought two colt foals in for shooting over the previous couple of weeks I, naturally, walked in the stable, shot it, and within 20mins it was skinned and hung up, still twitching. Just then the huntsman walked in and asked where his foal was, apparently Mr winter was bringing him a nice young pony as a Christmas present for his daughter.....6 points

Even if this law eventually passes, it won't make a ha'porth of difference. Individual illegal migrants will STILL be able to appeal and the ECHR court will STILL be able to over rule us. Even if the law is passed, it will be too late to try and deport anyone to Rwanda before the next General Election , which Labour will win, and Kier Starmer has already said yesterday that they will repeal the law. Its all just smoke and mirrors by the Tory's to look as though they are doing something, at last about illegal immigration, in the hope of saving some Tory votes and salvaging a few6 points

I hate to break it to you mate. But one day your dog will kill itself. Big, fast, driven dogs that are good…. That’s what happens. We’ve buried three good dogs last three seasons. Also had one retire through injury whereby she smashed a leg, one luckily make it back after collapsing a lung and damaging her diaphragm, and one impale herself through the eye and have partial vision. It’s sadly the nature of the game if you run fast driven dogs on fast game. Sucks but there’s no way to dress it up.5 points

Don’t think you can say live aid achieved nothing for Ethiopia, I think you will find it raised the amount of starving Ethiopians from around 30 odd million to well over 100 mil, good work sir bob lol4 points

The type of loser, who (for whatever reason) callously leaves his dog behind,..is the stamp of creature that really should be left behind.. If it comes on top,...yes,...it can get emotional,..but you must never leave your pals,...and to willingly abandon a jukel simply because it lacks the minerals to slate your thirst, or doesn't come up to standard,...is also a pretty poor excuse3 points

That’s a statement id expect a poor stocksman to say wouldn’t class someone as being a half decent human never mind stocksman leaving dogs in the field take it home and pts if your any sort of man at least all I’m saying it’s no coincidence the likes of nuttal and sankey succeed in other fields wether be spaniels, horses or terries is it ? Proofs is always in the pudding as they say not every dog will be world beaters but it ain’t no suprise the same people over and over always have a handy animal around the place sounds like3 points

Tugging at the heart strings,John Nettles dulcet soothing Bergerac voiceover and a donkey carrying bricks in Egypt,£2 a week from a Brit pensioners donation will do zero for the Donkeys of Egypt the same as Live aid did nothing long term for Ethiopia almost 40 years ago.3 points

I like donkeys and I'm old, but I ain't daft enough to squander two quid a week. Lol Those ads, often on at peak pensioner viewing times, are out of order. Sheer manipulation of people who can't afford to keep these charity fat cats in their rip off salaries. They are just the same as Internet preachers/ beggars. Five million? That takes some getting your head around.3 points

Well, going off the only dog I briefly owned in 1976, I think Gooey knows the one, even though he wasn't even born then, I'd always prefer a bitch. All that sniffing and pissing every few yards, you get with dogs, apparently, plus the always on the lookout for bitches in heat, would probably drive me to distraction!! From the dogs and bitches I've seen, workwise, probably nothing in it really. As always, some are better than others. Nah, I think I'd probably prefer bitches.3 points

An old huntsman I worked under would never shoot a donkey, always referred them to the vet to deal with and wouldn't feed them to hounds either. Always claimed it was bad luck to see a donkey dead on a hunting day and would turn around and go home if he saw one on the way to a meet3 points

What needs to be stopped 1)Boat people, strict enforcement of laws, scrap the hotels, stick them in camps,no one invited them so they can’t complain right?Anyone employing or housing them get hit with the big naughty stick,no appeals, your getting fined. 2)Work visas,4 year visas, you ain’t getting citizenship, they will still come, ever been to a third world country? No?Then trust me,they will still come.Oh,and no dependants, your here to work not settle 3)Students,no you absolutely can’t do a cheaptastic 2 year course at a scammy college above a kebab shop in Hounslow learning to bend3 points

It's an embarrassing gimmick. Rawanda has been given 240 million pounds with another 50 million promised. They must be rubbing their eyes in disbelief at this gift which keeps on giving. The tories hope this will make them look tough but people see through them. Another own goal to add to their omnishambles government.2 points

Climate minister flown 6500 miles to help get Prime Minister Patel’s complete waste of time Rwanda bill over the line…..don’t worry, it’s only your money and your life lads !! Meanwhile, make sure you pay £100+ a week at the pump while your community gos down the bog…..that will fix it !2 points

I sort of agree in that the whippet dogs are more submissive than the bitches which tend to have a wicked streak. I think it just depends on what suits you and what you admire in your dogs.2 points

Nothing you can do. The crash bang wallop ones put stuff in the bag and pull off spectacular catches but its a gamble. Remember the old bull cross went round corner out of site. Next thing I heard thud thud as he ran flat out down hill through trees. Could tell he was maxed out and stretching to grab it by the sound. Next silence when he went straight over a bank through barb wire. Then an all might thud when he landed follow by a scream. Gave me chills that sound. Found him in heap of wire foot of a bank. He lived to go on for more disasters lol2 points
