I always like a walk on a full moon with a lurcher, done it now for 35 years, and still like it. Went out last night 10 pm with Buck , i take me small lamp just in case lol, .Buck was out in front, i go on these few fields by me, i find a hole in hedge and pop in lol, never much on here the odd rabbit, or munjack or fox, but norm dont see alot when out, but thats ok it just nice 50 min walk for Buck before i feed him , and shut him up in his kennel for the night. Buck gets his head down, i knew something been there , the way he was moving, i was watching him along the side of the hedge , wh8 points

Today's efforts, my first ever at making pastry. Supposed to be cheesey flakey, but I over worked it a tad, so more rough puff. Anyway it worked. The tidy one is the first pie which is roast chicken and veg, the untidy one made from left over pastry is left over roe bourgignon from the other night. Me and her were very pleased.6 points

Gimli the great! His dwarf cave is hard to find, the trail is often misleading and paved with danger, there is many who dare not tread those ancient paths to his dwelling.... but those that do are rewarded with merriment and the finest steel this side of Warminster... Good luck in your search brave Knight...4 points

Was given a couple of broken DOC traps a couple years back. Finally got round to fixing them and made a couple of boxes to see how they preform. Bait basket on the underside of the lid which is inaccessible when lid is closed stops the victims buddy making a meal of the bait. Cable tie indicator so at a glance trap can b checked without opening lid.3 points

Any dog that hasn't been reared around cover will be shite nevermind an ex racing greyhound that probably was never let run free in the countryside till it was classed as a failure at 14 to 24 months.3 points

Misses is down looking after grandkids so a quick sweep round the fridge and cupboards found enough for a sausage surprise, leaks, potato’s, carrots, toms, onions, garlic and a few sprinkles from the spice rack should keep us warm and fed for a few days ??3 points

Mice in the shed again so I dug out the modded victor boxes. Caught two at the same time on the first setting. I can't quite work out how they are both lying on their backs....can only think they were on their way back out when it cracked them. Their heads are folded at 90 degrees to their bodies.3 points

A young black un. Bill Brightmore bred, bought him directly off Bill. He was getting on in years when I met him, but what a character. Sat in his farm house listening to his old stories. The dog had a good start, a bit too hard and grew a tad too big for the sandy tight earths I was working at the time for me. But a lovely dog with a good nature.3 points

My mum and dad left me and my brother in Exeter and went up to the pub in Combe Martin, I was 19 brother was 17.... we had a f***ing great time! Lol until my brother got his girlfriend pregnant at 18 she was 17, they're now married with 2 great adult kids.... we had the baby in with us in the house, the partying got a bit too much, I was a proud uncle and wanted to show off the baby, even early hours... so that didn't go down well lol.. Great times in the Top George though, Earl of Rhone weekend was always a laugh, the carnival was good too.. beat Keith Allen in pool in there one carniva2 points

Still think id rather have one of them than a third world bride !....i cant imagine plotting up down the local boozer with a blow up doll catalogue would get as much piss take as a catalogue for third world brides either.....probably not too much difference price wise,no back chat to deal with and sling it in the bin when you've had enough its a no brainer really ?2 points

Had an "ooh, are, nearly had it" run yesterday with the young deer cross bitch . Not many about, and what we did see were sitting close by the hedges or cover, and on their toes in an instant ! First was what looked like one of your 500 yard slips, but in reality was probably "only" about 200. It was sitting close to a hedge and I only slipped to loosen the bitch up, it was gone before she got near it. Second one was again a longish slip on one sitting near cover. This one she managed to put a bend in before losing it. Third run was much better, about a 75-100 yard slip, s2 points
