  2. Only got the one of Toddy but I think it’s on the Internet anyway, Bruce had a few pics knocking about. But when he moved from Cumberland Street in Warrington I think he misplaced a lot of them.. Toddy was a tall dog but easy to span he was a machine Nancy was a fkn machine also. There is a firnd of mine who still has kept the line going. I have a picture of a son from toddy and Nancy somewhere.

  5. Just looking at the old black and white pictures, that was on the side of road in Cheshire. You couldn’t do that nowadays lol I remember when Bruce got a driving ( he got a few of them? ) me and him would get dropped off before dawn in a Cheshire location where we could do a few sets first thing and do a few on the way home. We had a folding spade which was made for us and a bag full of Fox nets and our terriers, we would make our way back to warrington on foot, trying sets on the way home.. Bruce always knew where there was something and it was rare we got a blank. No one bot

  6. A few nights ago i was asked by a mate to go and wait over a cut grass field with him on one of his farms. We arrived at about nine thirty and decided where we would both go. I was to get tucked under some overhanging trees on the left side of the field, he would go to the other side against a hedge. Both of us would be looking towards a long wood at the end of the field approximately two hundred yards away. This is a cracking farm for foxes and always has been. It is a long wood with a river running along it's length at the other side of it. Foxes follow the river along and when they find the

  8. Nice work Ianm . And an interesting read . That is a long one , bit like myself, long and lean . ? As I read this I’m waiting by one of my pens for a fox that has been showing up , our paths have crossed on more than one occasion, but I’ve not managed to get a shot off yet . It’s getting to that time when he might pop out . ?

  12. I spent a long time reading and researching different mixes and breeds. Spoke to a few on here over PM about theirs to get some more info. 99% of what I plan on doing will be bunnies either ferreting or lamping/mooching so was looking whippet and beddy whip but then I fancied summat that could have a go at the other 1%. Spoke to a few different lads with litters but got things from 'be ready at 5-6wks' or even as far as 'mother isn't here anymore' so didn't bother looking. Then a chap on here put me onto em. He had grandsire and also the mother's sibling I think. Right mix for

  15. Both Toddy and Nancy were from Smithy, to a stacy bitch. I’m not 100% sure what happened to Nancy I think she might of got stolen back in the 80s. Toddy died of old age while out walking Bruce said he fell in the river mersey and never came up if my memory serves me right. Bruce only bred dogs for and to those he knew and for himself.

  18. That’s it joe no ones bothered by wild bills constant threats of violence no one can now take the guy seriously on here not even any of the dog stuff he talks about because they see all the threats of him wanting to give people a good hiding that don’t share the same opinion as his own they just think what a cock end! and don’t believe the dribble that comes out his mouth. Think the wild one needs to stop the big hard man impression No ones buying it!

  22. Mentioned this in a previous thread but for me getting a pup was crucial rather than an older dog, the early days bonding time is absolutely crucial IMO. When you form a relationship with a dog it is a different level. She has had half hour mad dash round garden, now bonding time sat on back step listening to the owls and different sounds.

  23. Forgive me if I come across long winded here but that’s made me feel really sad for some reason. I spent my childhood in other c**ts back gardens , pigeon men , dog men , chickens being hauled around looking at pigeon shows that were absolutely packed to the rafters with people. there was once nearly 150 people in our towns pigeon club . For a wee town of around 2000 all up that’s not a bad effort . All my pals dads , grandads , uncles had lofts in the garden or the allotment . I don’t know a single fella under 40 with pigeons now. A way of life falling by the wayside.

  29. could turn into a diamond have it lose and just discourage from messing up nets and going into the hole. Let it make mistakes and it should learn from them. By best ever ferreting dog was a JR. A rabbit sat by the hole once and he dived at it and I spend half an hour digger the bugger out and he never did that again. He would freeze solid until the rabbit came right out. Never forget his eyes swivel to me and back to the rabbit with out budging a millimeter

I’ve sent you my address I’ve told you what days I’m working away and what time I’m home each day ... I’ve written a declaration that I fully agree with you coming to my house for a fight with no criminal repercussions ... so either turn up and put this to bed or stop fukcing talking shit .........
