  3. Thought I’d start a post on project motorcycles that some of you lads have done or doing? this is the little project I done a 03 kx125 she’s now a clean little bike that runs super clean and crisp I’ve had a lot of enjoyment out of restoring/building her and mobbing about on the roads an through the woods something else I’ve really enjoyed is the research side of things when looking for parts or race history on the bike/model

  11. Good news for me. I created forms years ago to be used on sites that get signed when we return large wooden cable reels and pallets to the supplier as evidence of re-use rather than going to landfill. To appease the annual auditors. It worked for a bit but now when I ask the lads where are the forms I get the reply "well, ya nah". I do know, they are chopping them up and taking them home for the wood burner. Then I have to pretend to be annoyed.

That’s why I never understood multiculturalism,it doesn’t honestly work, everyone co-existing together in a happy crappy utopia, birds of a feather flock together, humans aren’t any different, man is tribal.Anyone with half a brain can see it happening in areas of Britain Sikhs in southall,Kashmiri in Luton,Somali in Ealing,Bengali in Tower Hamlets,it’s highly visible.

  18. I've never caught a tope but big winter pike are generally not up to much, as I said above my biggest fish a winter pike fought like a gate post, just a dead weight, it gave a couple of lunges when it saw the net but nothing drastic, river fish tend to be gamer than still water, summer Jack's on the other hand tend to be quite feisty lots of jumping and tail walking as the attempt to throw the lure, despite their looks they are actually a very delicate fish and need a lot of rest after a scrap .

  21. Pied d'honneur Foot of honor, a tradition of venery in France. When the hunt has been good, to pay tribute to a participant, the Master can give him a foot of the animal. The foot is braided.

  24. There's a book called The Pike written by Cliff Twemlow. It's based in Windermere with a six foot pike. They did start making a film of it but I don't think it was ever finished. My (extremely tenuous) claim to fame was that my ex-girlfriend's, ex-boyfriend's best mate (I did say it was tenuous) made the motorised model they were going to use for the film.

  25. Seen them a fair few times in the River Exe, found a decent size one, probably 3lb or so washed up there, last time I fished with Sean C off here there was one swimming around, looked like it was pissed!! Lol, which we netted out for a look, strange looking things for sure..

  27. My mrs had two pure GWP she used on pigs, they would lug and were obviously great finders. They were very protective guard dogs as well. I'd imagine the first crosses would be useful on any game.

  28. My best was 28lbs Sean on a wobbled brown trout, had a few low twenties from the same stretch and my best brown trout of 7lbs 7oz came out 100 yards down stream where the river shollowed into lovely fast water.

  29. I used to trim cork to the shape of a chum mixer for surface fishing, it’s all I used. Had fish to 30lb off the top that way, used to do a lot of surface fishing because frankly, other people didn’t ! For some reason most carp anglers can’t seem to get their head round surface fishing. 30lb common off the top on a bit of cork.
