I think it’s extremely patronising to think that people choose one party and stick with it all their lives. Of course, especially up here, people say “ I vote Labour because me da did and so did me grandad so I will”, but people are a lot more politically savvy with the access to 24 hour news channels and the internet these days. Political parties change; the Labour Party was the party of the working class when I was younger, and voted for them for years, until they deserted us and became the party of immigration and identity politics. The Tory’s were right wing, the party of priv8 points

Thursday was my Birthday and my Ferreting, Fishing and Foraging mate brought around a live Cock Crab this afternoon. Just finished picking it out 240gram white meat and 130 brown so think tomorrow either Sea Food Salad or a Crab Sandwich. Cheers Arry8 points

The original version is longer and very telling, ask Sandy if he'd have a 12 year old afghani bloke with a beard to go and live with him and his kids, they all want them here as long as they're nowhere near them8 points

There was always going to be some "pain" in the early years, I think everyone that voted to leave knew that but were prepared for it... what I didn't see coming was the absolute resistance and spoiling by both main parties, Boris for all his failings at least forced through the wish of the majority but its been a battle against our "own people" to move forwards...Covid stopped our economy for pretty much a year all told and thats why we are in the shit imo.. as Borr said, there is more work than anytime I can remember and at the best rates I can remember, but I'm sure this is the peak before a6 points

Not often you post anything I agree with but I do with this. The bit that nails it is is part about PERCEPTION brought about by years of the left wing press and Remainers blaming Brexit for everything and doing their utmost to undermine the result of a democratic vote.6 points

It is mate had the day off work aswell. It came to £310 though money was never the issue for the old dog. Even the wife though both of us upset said how quik and peaceful it was. Then I came out with the familiar last words when one has a dog put down no fekin more dogs for me.6 points

Very old pic , but the story is ,Brian was in a storm drain for about 1 half hours with the nastiest bxstard Charlie I've ever accounted for .it was causing havoc on spot I have and I tried lamping it ,trapping it and eventually after a few days of rain ,Brian marked the old drain . It goes between 2 fields but is actually dry now. The fox showed twice but went back .all Brian would do was bay and scream he's head off but the beauty of Brian is I could shout him out .so after the 1 half hours I shouted him , waited about 10 mins and Charlie bolted .and was sorted .many ,many brilliant days w5 points

Shooting a dog is shit, mine, families or mates. I hate it. But I haven’t yet been able to bring myself to do it any other way. Some lads are ruthless and think nothing of it. But I think the general uninitiated opinion that everyone who chooses that method is of the same mindset is way off. It’s about duty, not money. And I’ll not judge another for choosing a vet. The consequences of emotions clouding your ability to deliver that last act are not worth the risk. Again, it’s about duty to that animals welfare.5 points

The nipper took 4 more out of the traps tonight. Still all around the first pen. Had a cracking night with him, saw some deer, watched some young buzzards in the nest, chuffed when he identified some different trees. Found a cracking pool on the river miles from anywhere.4 points

Or people are just buying there lampshades on amazon like the rest of the world or going to B and Q were they have no shortage of stock but no brexit has really seen lighting go off the scale, it’s hard to believe you can actually believe the stuff you put up as an adult and a parent4 points

Next two days where pretty quiet, just sitting around in the grave yard waiting. Had a wood duck and her ducklings floating around us. Surprised one of the car didn't snatch a duckling honestly And for thkse curious this is how I set up my work vest. Pretty similar to how I set up my body armor in the army actually..just this doesn't weight 35lbs ? also it's more of a body recovery device more then a life preserver lol. Girlfriend is always asking " you wearing your body finder ? " ? But yeah water activated rescue light, whistle, I added a mag pouch to hold various stuff. Main4 points

The only vote I've cast that a truly believed in was the vote to leave the European Union, I respect peoples views/reasons why they chose to vote remain, but I'm sick of people trying to de rail the vote and blame anything that is wrong with the country on Brexit... if we were united politically and socially to see through the good that could come from the vote we would be a strong independent nation imo... but it has driven huge divides through the people and even within political parties there is no unity (let alone cross party). Surely at some point its a wipe your mouth and get on with it3 points

Well thanks to every body for advice Wifey has gone for these. Bit more meaty the the Scarpa. Well I emailed Scarpa and they what me to send the boots back to them, going to send postage. They are about 8 or 9 years old so don't think they will do anything. I my view boot should not just fail and fall apart but should wear out. Any way lads many thanks for all the input. I'd say COVID pandemic should get a mention as it's more than disrupted global trade, and from my side British engineering is booming for the first time in my lifetime, it's a shame we haven't invested enough in training youngsters, as there's more jobs than people that can do them, lots of opportunities now for the ones that can afford to requalify etc. The government has failed miserably for decades including Blair's /brown stint and the Tories . If you can't even defend an islands borders then you're not worth having..3 points

Mate, I can only speak for myself, rifle, head, and absolutely instant. I'd also add I'm not worth tuppence in the run up to it and I'm fcuked for a while after. I wouldn't have it any other way though and thankfully not all that often and hopefully years apart. Absolutely not knocking your way, just giving an insight into the other.3 points

I find with all modern media it's a case of looking for what they are not saying rather than what they are saying...just because it's say tiktok, telegram, youtube ect doesn't mean it's incorrect but at the same time it's often narrative loaded soundbites and not the full picture and the same can be said for MSM ,they all know how to play to our confirmation biases. ?3 points

is that similar to how they kill cattle with a bolt gun, top of head pointing towards to top of spine .? like said if done right , ok fair enough. i am only going on like said with old bryn that i had for 14 years, it was done quick easy to him in vets, he just looked at me and moved his paw, patted his head, and he was gone. i do the same with Buck , he turns 11 in august , and i turn 71 then, we both finished together at right time, he my last working dog, if get another later be just ex work old worker as a pet . But hopefully couple years away with the big lad yet.?.2 points
