Out this morning, just a wee wander with Jess out the back fields and through the woods, she was content hunting squirrels through the wood, cut through a field on the way back and I “see” a set of lugs about 100 yards away, getting closer and it’s no moving get to about 50 yards and realise it’s a rotten jaggy nettle still stood up. In my defence it was a funny light and the field was a funny length! Anyway few photos of the dug20 points

Well thank you SL. I have just completed my suspension and read the above posts. Going forward I will not make any more negative comments and hopefully get this section back to the way it used to be. I am a very reactive person and as such respond quickly to any negativity thrown in my direction but seeing as its nearly New Year my resolution will be to be nice to everyone. I come on here to read about shooting as that is my passion so let's keep it to that. A few pics from this week ?9 points

For once in many hundreds of pages on here their has been a bit of civility between fd and greyman . Why on earth would you come on and Stoke the fire on this thread . Im not that into who is who and who hates who on here but why would you antagonise him . Youve said you dont comment on religious posts when you know francie says that you have to him before . He literally posted it recently on katchums thread If this thread is ever going to drag itself out of the sewer it needs more conversation not confrontation8 points

One last time as I really can’t stand you, but when a video is shown to experts in there field who conclude it’s a mountain lion and a man with a minge that couldn’t hack it as a brickie so became a nurse tells me they are all wrong I wonder which one I will take notice of, now excuse me if I don’t answer any more stupid questions but my three year old grandson has more important things to say ?6 points

I don't see why all the animosity? If someone believes and spends time and energy on his belief, so what ? If someone doesn't believe, why try to ridicule the other guy ? personally I'm about 99% sure in my own mind that there aren't big cats breeding in the UK. Of course there were releases and escapees in the past, but I very much doubt they met up and bred, they probably died very quickly, having been pets or captives . But just as I'd like there to be a Loch Ness monster, Sasquatch, Yeti, I'm sure, like big cats in the UK, they don't exist.........but I'd love to be pro5 points

More nonsense from the press. A tin of chappie is four times the price of a tin of beans in Lidl . Beans 22p, loaf of bread 39p, 15 eggs £1:50. Why on earth would people pay more to eat dog food ? Beans on toast with a fried egg on top costs less than a tin of dog food. Cheers.5 points

If you think that is good, world class boxing, you may as well knock your boxing interest on the head, COMPLETELY.4 points

If not the greatest, definitely right up there. Not trying to usher him out the door, but it might be timely if he went before the end of the tournament, and let football, and in particular the world cup give him a proper tribute and send off. Only man to win it three times.4 points

I can actually see why the thermal vid of the cat could spark excitement in the ranks and I’m not going to lie I thought it was a mountain lion for a bit but ….the tree in the foreground that the cat is to the right of looks to be a beech tree by the smooth bark which would mean the base is between 3 1/2 to 4 foot across and unfortunately the cat isn’t quite that by a margin from nose to tail as it sinks away .The only cat with a profile same as a cougar is the Siamese .Thick tail ,sleek coat ,pointed ears and the she cats develop the baggy flanks as seen in the vid . This is my honest o4 points

Ok Eddie you can come to ?? the real reason for the amount of sightings here is quite obvious if you look at things logically, most of our large woodland and moorland areas were used to dump unwanted pets back in the day ie exmoor,Bodmin and the COTSWOLDS the Cotswolds covers half of Gloucester and the environment is absolutely spot on ie deep remote valleys open fields below and an abundance of prey species then the final ingredient was its closeness to London made it home to many pop stars and actors the types to buy these exotic pets, also the types to just discard them when the novelty wor4 points

Because there isn't a large, thriving and breeding population of big cats in britain. A few pairings etc, over a few years, yes, more than feasible. A thousand breeding pairs, NO. And then you try to compare that to colonies of wallabies, that's just silly.3 points

i don't see any animosity towards greyman at all, i think if anything he starts throwing the insults when people question his evidence3 points

Firstly, I think too much is made about the whole ‘backyard’ thing. Fury had fans in Germany, it wasn’t exactly Rocky IV. Secondly, and it’s just my opinion, AJ got his first world strap easy, but remember it was only his 16th pro fight. Since then I think most of his fights have been against genuine & ranked opponents. Fury fans bemoan the stripping of the IBF belt, but that’s the world of boxing and fighting mandatories v’s honouring rematch clauses etc. People conveniently forget the positive test and ban which ensured Fury was out the picture anyway. That was on him. Mayweath3 points

If there were big cats of a population that could be self maintaining in places like Gloucestershire we would have a multitude of irrefutable evidence in the form of mobile cameras, cctv, cubs being found, road kill and lots of dead sheep. As we have none of these the reality is there is no such population. Take Slimbridge WWT, having a large area of reasonably undisturbed land packed full of tasty morsels to attract a feline predator, deer, geese, ducks etc. But in spite of it having been studied by expert naturalist for many years there is no evidence of big cats frequenting the place. I'd say in all likelihood it's more likely a wallabie rather than a big cat in the UK but in reality its a common or garden moggy.3 points

But you can feed your dog the tin of chappie and he can fetch you enough meat to get you all through the winter, think if this carries on along with the bird flu issues it’s going to be swan again for Christmas ??3 points

This is a hunting internet site.........it's not China, Russia, North Korea ! We ask questions and get shut down. Whats going on ? What are the mods afraid of ? Dissent, awkward questions ? We are only asking if a member is now banned. No abuse, no profanity, just a simple question.......... Cheers.2 points

i think the whole subject of big cats in the uk is weak and silly ,5years this thread has been going and a fuzzy thermal image is the best bit of proof says it all really2 points

Fury has had five world title fights.., five, and three of those were against the same opponent! Fury didn’t achieve greatness beating Wilder, he only proved Wilder was the fraud we all suspected. Dillian Whyte deserved a shot, but AJ, Povetkin, even Chisora had shown us Whyte would struggle at the highest level. Then there have been a smattering of bums in ‘warm up’ fights. I don’t dislike Fury, but there’s a lot of talk comes out of him and his camp, and the pedigree just doesn’t back up the boasting. When all’s said and done I’ll judge his standing in the sport on who he fought and beat, bu2 points

Went out the other night at dusk with thermal and shot a jay with my catty , was pleased as first one I've shot with a catty. That thermal opens up a whole new world when wondering about with it. I wished I'd of bought one sooner. Loving the avatar Mac, years and years ago when I was having a go at different little businesses here and there my mates used to call me Mr Ben pmsl .2 points
