Was randomly listening to a radio show here as we were driving yesterday, it was a Christian station based in Memphis, was pretty funny to us as there views were,in our world, extreme abd they weren't afraid to say it. I worked on RAF Fairford ( American run base at the time ) and did a bit on RAF Brize Norton and a few land fill sites in Wiltshire and Slough . I done a s410 stock once with wood bleach And the results were amazing But u have to no what ur doing Or it can all go horribly wrong Some of the dark patches are use over the years something I've found many times Sometimes u can remove them some times you cant But the trick is to blend it into the stock and the stain so it looks like it was supposed to be there Phil is trying his best and its his first time so i appreciate his effort Iv done some guns for him one a nice shot gun stock that he was happy with It looked lush when I finished i

Also iv never done this but iv heared bleaching the stock may help to remove the dark areas? May be worth researching. Jimmy will proberbly know if this may be worth trying.

In my time in the states, if you were pulled over by law enforcement, you turn off your vehicle and place your hands on the top of the steering wheel while dealing with them. These are the two stains I have rubbed onto some wood with a cloth, the right hand side has had two coats and whilst oil or varnish will bring out the grain and colour bear in mind it looks a bit weak at the moment, Which would you choose ??? Phil

Yesterday I made a start with stripping the stock using Screwfix own brand paint/varnish stripper which is water washable so no smells or nasty slop to get rid of although I had to keep our 5 cats out of the way. You can see on the last set of photos that there are some dark areas which look like stain from a previous period and after a number of texts with my old pal, our Jimmy, I decided to completely apply the paint stripper again today but the dark areas were still there. Looking at the butt end, i could see the pattern from the dark areas were carried right through the stock onto the oth

Can be done much cheaper as I say I’m at the top end of it I took a boat up to Stourbridge last year from here and the marina she went to was about half the price of this one, but good luck to the lad if he buys right he won’t loose on the boat if it’s not for him

myself and my Mrs are keeping an eye on the prices,quite a few boats have been on the market for a good while,some have dropped by 30k Im thinking of staying in a marina from November to February,then spend the rest of the month's travelling around while the weather's nice etc...wont be until my 3 have left the nest mind.. something to look forward too

I can't help feeling farmers only get involved when it effects farming. But there is a common enemy in the establishment, but how many farmers will vote conservative even though they spent three terms running the country into the ground, maintaining illegal immigration and pushing for net zero , not doing much for Britain full stop just like labour now.
