Went back to the creek today.When I started walking I could smell crawfish in the air.The hairs on my neck stood up.I knew there was an otter somewhere upstream. After a couple hour walk I was at one of my best spots.There was the otter. So yesterday had a lady come by with her grand sons to get some dressers out of my place I've been trying to get rid of right . Told her since she lived up the road I'd give them to her for free and even haul them if she just got me some help because there big and heavy. Anyhow after we got them loaded up ( took them a good three minutes just to get out the car because they where terrified of my dog. Working in st Helens today so went to look at the old 'hotties' stretch of the sankey canal. In it's day this stretch was heated by the outlet from the glass factory. The stretch was famous for fishing as it was full of tropical fish that survived in the hot water

So decided to get our first electric net just to play with with our chickens right...don't help someone huge pig is walking around and has been trying to mess with he birds.... makes me happy out dogs free run because they chase him off Everytime .Well set it up just to see what it would look like as a set up and got busy with some other stuff ...so it's just set up half way with no power to it . This site is certainly different to what it was, but what stays the same eh? I found i could only write so many times about ferreting or lamping, before it became the same sort of stories.. we all know how it goes, but some of those old threads on the ferreting or lurcher sections were great, loads of good input.. and SeanC photos on our threads were brilliant...but... Little walk out this morning to collect some fire wood on the Cotswold edge view down to the Severn estuary a few nice looking mushrooms ( Arry? ) and hang gliders going off the top also came across this hide and bait station pretty close range about 15/20 yards

Bumped all the blocks and materials down the lane on my own That's enough for me today...dig out and pour the footing tomorrow first thing...chuck some blocks down after dinner then..next week move and refit the roller shutter and extend a little flat roof and trims to finish....

An old member from here bred the dog on the right,a few from here saw both dogs run,the one on the right lived in the caravan with us in east london,was out on fox several times a week in the winter,just an old photo of long gone dogs.
