As a few lads on here know we hosted my cousins wedding a couple of weeks back, it was a big ask as we are part way through renovating and having nearly 90 people here for the day, plus all the family staying here... Anyway, I think we completely pulled it off, it was a great day night.. loads of food, drink, music and great company... I said never again,... but... we've had 3 enquiries and these would pay us, no more family favours!! Lol

Met up with Max Hardcore at my local whippet club to give his lurcher bitch a couple of trials. Gave it a solo run out of the traps and with a muzzle. It ran well and did a very respectable time. Later on gave it another trial of a level break with a good non-ped racing whippet, again, out of traps with muzzles. A very good race over 150 yards with the lurcher coming from behind to be beaten by just half a length, again in a good time. I enjoyed the morning and the craic, Max certainly knows his running dogs ! Cheers.

A mate has 2 tickets for the England v Spain game on Sunday. We actually ain't too unlike. One of my nieces is getting married this November. Can't stand the prick she's marrying, and when she rings to ask us if it's OK for them to come down for a visit, see the baby etc, I go for a walk and tell the mrs to give me a ring when they've left. Like you say, it's not that I'm really unsociable, I just don't like a lot of people, and can see straight through most horrible c**ts.

Max and I talked about speed, I like as much speed as possible in a lurcher , if it can’t catch up to its quarry, it can’t kill it. Plodders that wear the quarry down are a liability these day, I much prefer a “whizz banger” , on the field and off quickly. My bitch has surprisingly decent speed for her size. Max added non-ped whippet/grey to his coursing bred bitch and if this bitch he ran today is anything to go by , it’s worked, definitely a fast bitch ! Cheers.

In my experience, i'd have to say for the big stuff on big hills, the bigger/taller the better would be an advantage in certain situations. Don't get me wrong, dogs can and do the job around 26tts-28tts (the dogs I've ran over the years) but a few additional inches more of dog height and overall dog leg, imo, would likely eat up sections of ground where it could mean the difference between wrapping the chase up and ending it sooner rather than later or the quarry getting the advantage over the dog as can often happen when the course crosses a mixture of terrain. Really thankful for the message you sent me mate my health and well being has improved dramatically since going on a meat diet though I do eat plenty of veg but not potatoes and fruit moderately and if I snack now it's usually nuts though not salted or flavoured.

I have two real chocolate binges per year. I eat so much at Easter, that I can't stomach it again until Christmas, then I eat so much at Christmas, that I can't stomach it again until Easter .
