Exactly the same mate, I dont particular care what other do or don't do.. its a pride thing for me, I come from a working class family and that meant they worked, my dad was a famine and feast man... earnt a lot of money and squandered a lot of money... my mother is one of the hardest working people I know....she still won't sit still now and is nearly 70.... Even when my Mrs was ill we wouldn't take a penny in disability allowance, it was there if we wanted it.... I get the argument about the government taken more than these poor families on benefits, or Lord whoever scamming a loa10 points

I actually pride myself on never taking a hand out from the government,f**k that bollocks, money wouldn't cover my dog meat for a week lol..I've worked for what little I have and never asked anyone for help, not even my folks...I've done things I'm not proud of,but needs must when you got a mortgage etc to pay...there's always work for those who want it,Legal or not, helps if you live within your means and don't try to be some flash Harry..myself and the Mrs have both worked more than one job a day/ week to make sure shits payed and my children are warm, clean and fed...I look out the front door,10 points

Proper treating ourselves at Prawn in The Lawn.... Scallops, crab, ling, monkfish all as different small plates Whole turbot to share with spuds and tomato salad... pavlova and chocolat tart afters Luckily the kids like food as much as we do...9 points

I'm out of likes and takes hours to have a list approved but pics look great guys, here's lunch, brisket, Mac cheese and allotment corn which has given to me stuffing myself sat here drinking cold milk with meat sweats....8 points

Like many other areas in life the genuine needy cases get overlooked to make way for the scroungers.....single parent families, the disabled etc give them what they need and a few quid on top....able bodied ambitionless pricks making a career choice to be a ponce should get the very bare minimum to stay alive in my opinion.8 points

Dogs are funny old critters,..some of them are equally as mad as their owners? Personally,..I can handle most idiosyncrasies that an otherwise, genuine working dog, might have,.but over the years..having had a preference for the Herding composites, I have encountered some strange behavioural traits..? It kinda goes with the territory.... The only thing that really messes life up for me in a jukel, is nervousness, and a spooky temperament... Most 'problems' are surmountable,..but if a working dog is temperamentally unsound,...it does make schooling twice as difficult to achieve..7 points

I think that flash motors and all that is a bit of an urban myth mate, it’s the exception not the rule imho. Most folks I ever knew who got a bit of benefits were just normal people, living in an area where their skill set and/or circumstances meant it was too expensive to exist. Im not turning this into a boring race thread but round my old way they were giving Africans £25 grand towards a mortgage to move out of Newham while lads born and bred in the area, who only had the academic ability to broom round at the picture framing factory, couldn’t afford the rent on a 2 bedroom gaff a7 points

I know this won’t be a popular view but I genuinely couldn’t give a shit what anyone has out of the government. When they can iron out a million quid a year on paper clips, find 200 houses at the drop of a hat for afghans, take in 500 wogs a day from across the channel, piss away money like water on everything from diversity studies to flights to the G7 then some poor c**t getting an extra score a week is hardly worth a mention ! Why shouldn’t they have it?…..won’t make a blind bit of difference to our pocket that’s for sure. If they took everyone off the welfare system tomorrow n7 points

Had a chat with a woman who lives in one of the houses on the estate. She keeps free ranging chickens and ducks , so she is always keen to discuss fox sightings with me . The information I get from her is always reliable, if she says there is a fox about …… there is a fox about. She said that she had seen a fox about in broad daylight yesterday, eyeing up her chickens. I assured her I would be out tonight and have a look . I set the icotec out in the middle of the field behind her house and sat on her garden chair with the rifle and bipod on the garden table . She brought me out6 points

Took my boys to a local pond , it was hard work having never really fished with a whip, two kids to watch/coach/and entertain. But it was successful and the youngest lost a tearaway carp early on so we fished the margin tight, catching bleak, gudgeon, bream, perch, roach and Rudd. Ending the day with a carp I hoped wouldsnap us off but standing ten foot back from the bank being strongly encouraged to land it by the kids .....a good day, off again tomorrow.5 points

We have all had this conversation many times I guess and I had it with a good pal of mine a couple of years back. He is a very successful bloke, employs about 100 people and does very well, anyway we was out for a bite to eat and he says “There’s no excuse for anyone not to have a job round here” (south east Essex) So I say “No mate, you haven’t thought it through” And here’s why: Some lads will always be the forklift driver, there’s nothing wrong with that, the world needs forklift drivers just like it does doctors and solicitors and window cleaners and all the rest……but5 points

How many on here saying scroungers etc are on family credit or some other sort of relief or gov help, bit two faced if you are but i was at a shoot once and some of the guns were moaning about a lass who was a teenager that got knocked up and she was given a flat to live in.They were saying how much money it would cost the tax payer etc etc and came up with about £20,000 a year and all were getting right arsey about it,i then pointed out the estate we were on belongs to a multi millionare Lord and as his massive house is listed and he has a eco burner he gets between £40,000-80,000 a year to he5 points

Universal credit £20 drop: 'I'm used to hunger pains' - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK Under 25s are losing the biggest percentage of their income when the payments go down in... Am I being a tight cnut having no sympathy for the bloke in the article? At his age he shouldn't be on benifits. OK he's got depression, but depression shouldn't be an excuse for a young fit person to be on long term benefits. In fact, being sat at home with no stimulation must be the worst thing for someone with depression. Get the cnut in a grafting job and watch his health improve.4 points

I’ve always believed that hunting with hounds was the thin end of the wedge . The pack that I follow has managed to carry on . And the field is much the same as it always was . We have our usual antis that try their best to hamper the day , sometimes they win , most of the time they don’t. But it is tiresome, to be constantly harassed by the muppets. And more than the field , I’ve noticed a higher turnover of hunt staff , who get fed up with the constant agro . I had a chat to one of the women sabs , I said if you care about hunting with dogs , why aren’t you out on a Sunday morning in the C4 points

Heard on the radio this morning there trying to get it in parliament very sneaky how there doing it….there trying to push through because of theft of dogs it won’t be classed as theft of goods no more it’ll be classified as something I can’t remember the word they used but because it’s a owned living being but the minute I heard what they said straight away I was like that’s hunting with dogs f****d as it means even with poaching some else’s land as then animals are owned an a living being….all sneaky sneaky how they can push one law through for one thing but it covers another thing3 points

Back when I was a keen angler and on committees for the club and Wyvern division of the NFSA. I tried to get anglers to stand up for hunting with hounds when they were trying to get it banned saying it would be fishing and shooting next. Quoting Together we stand divided we fall, they would have none of it. Divided we fall it is then. Cheers Arry3 points

From what u describe it Just sounds like a typical young excitable dog mythering an older dog to play that’s not arsed, dosnt sound like out to be overly worried about. They will establish there own pecking order and boundaries with each other over time and it will pass. One thing I would say is don’t be tempted to separate them all the time to make things easier or avoid the situation. It won’t get better like that. it’s just something u will have to get through. Like previous post said be firm and stick at it and it will pass.3 points

I,m close to 60 moved to Gloucester in January and am on my second job since I moved here, loads of work out there, but no youngsters coming through that seem to want to graft, wages are going up as well, I thought I’d had enough of plastering but there’s good money to made, started working for a local building firm, couple of little sets a day good wage van and fuel card, body’s groaning a bit but make hay while the sun shines, bound to be a recession round the corner ??3 points
