  1. Was getting Tilly scanned today to see if she was in pup but she wasn't so I told the vet to put her to sleep as I can't get her leg to heal ... the vet wasn't keen and asked if he could have one more go at getting her right FREE OF CHARGE ... not many vets that would do that ........

  3. I had a dog many years ago who was predominately collie , the rest whippet greyhound I took that old dog everywhere, as in everywhere, he would wait on me at school and we’d go out, if I was playing football he’d sit at the side and wait , weirdly I never saw him asleep, ever, if you were awake he was! that little collie dog doddled up Lake District hills , swam rivers, ran miles daily, went beating with me for pheasants and foxes , Work the lamp Like a hoover , find rabbits were they didn’t know they were themselves and would do anything I commanded instantly, he cost me 5 p

  11. Good find Si. On another note. Think I'm getting a bit bored of hunting POV footage, actually hunting footage in general. Whether that be airgun, big game, foxing with rips and so on. It's quite literally the same and once you've seen one rabbit/boar/dog get it in the melon you've seen um all. If it's not scope cam footage, it's 3rd person where like mr ratz, recreates the shots he's just took but for some reason makes it look like he's about to take the shot and I literally just scoot by VHTV now. In particular scope cam footage, in some ways it makes me think how the shooter has t

  15. They increase the 'time of concentration' of rainfall come serious storms, by making dams. This reduces the severity of flooding by allowing time for floods to dissipate. This, in turn, leads some to believe they are GOOD for the environment. I personally feel a little more study is needed and, by the way when did they disappear from UK? Have we had serious problems with flooding up until recently ? Is it possible for Walkers to make beaver flavoured crisps ? Thats the only way they will catch on.

Customs will require customs points, if you don't think that they will become targets the I suggest you don't know this island very well. I'm a farmer and I'm not worried about the UK's exit from the EU. It's a plus as UK governments were never supportive of agriculture within the EU. We do most of our trade with the EU, then the USA, then the UK. Varadkar is doing the right thing by this country. The problem is the imperial little Englanders getting a dose of indigestion at having to de

Had a a night out on the fells in one of the bothys, was a lovely frosty night with no cloud, the moon was so bright we could have a wander out on the fell just by the moon light. once we got the fire going it didn’t take long to get a pot of chilli going which went down nicely with some toasted marshmallows for afters.

  32. I wouldn't worry about the bone in the gut but if you want to get a dog to run as fast as it could then fast you need to feed it carbohydrates. Dogs have evolved from Wolves. During this journey dogs evolved to eat broadly the same food as us. Someone earlier in this thread mentioned feeding their dog stale brown bread and tripe. Add a bit of bone and some fat and bingo

  35. I like to feed raw I’ll literally feed anything the dogs are willing to eat but one thing I won’t feed is a lot of meat off bone if I know I’m going to be out running the dog on the lamp. the night before if I know I’m going out the following night it’d be a meal on the lines of green tripe minced beef an a small amount of minced offle.....that’s how I do things I personally wouldn’t want to run a dog for all it’s worth with a gut full of pascal digestied sharp bones I know I’ll probably get blasted by the Lurcher world experts for this comment with a reminder of dogs in the wild ?

  36. I never mentioned cctv Neil, as for deterring the shoplifter it dosn't. im on about the people who know or are involved in the dog theft circle who haven't got the balls to stand up and tell the truth. It'll never change because a large percentage of the dog world is full of liars, backstabbers and dog dealers breeding shit from shit and selling on that shit.As for you driving your van through a front door Stop talking shit.

  38. That's because they've been caught red handed, their name is not put up and the CCTV image is usually blurry. They never get caught and the pic is put up to deter other thieves from thieving. If, let's just say, I seen dogs being robbed and took a pic and then put up on the inter-net "This is Robert Booth stealing dogs" all he has to do is deny it and sue me. But that will never happen because A. I've no money and B. He usually gets other's to do the robbing.

  39. If your caught shoplifting from Mace or Centra theres an image of you in the shop window..named and shamed....So you lads who know someone whos involved past or present why wont you name and shame them? Maybe youve got something to hide and your scared of opening a can of worms.Just my opinion.

  42. If I knew who robbed my dogs I swear with my life, solicitors written letters or not, and I have told my local garda at the time I'll knee cap the c**t and when I said such a thing it was all wrote down on the spot in front of me, but too this day I'd stand by it. Do time or not it's a price I would be willing too pay for going into my home and taking my pride and joy. At the end of the day I'd be glad too f**k em up and f**k the law when has that ever stood on the terrierman side.
