Good to hear you speak well of an old Pal,....most of my hunting partners have also gone to ground,...I expect it will soon be my turn to lay quietly under the cold turf.... However, as long as we are in the land of the living, we should always award our true friends with the honour they deserve,....its only right and proper.....13 points

I've seen terriers that looked like a hand grenade had gone off in there mouth come back to perfect in a few weeks with the right home care. Keep an eye for infection and have antibiotics at hand if needed, keep clean and flush with salty water a couple of times a day and it'll be grand and not cost a grand.12 points

While I see where you're coming from Wilf. But life was not exactly a bed of roses in the past. I'm in my 70's worked hard manually all my life. As a kid we had f**k all, none of the luxuries of today in comparison coal fire only heating, no double glazing hot water if you could afford to put the emersion on. Sent to the shop to get one razor blade for the old man, borrow a cup of sugar from next door. No car rented black and white TV, sitting in candle light because no money for the meter. Gran still had gas lights no electric and outside loo with news paper hanging on string. I climbed11 points

My lads 15 and not keen on school, he. Ones with me sometimes but I’m not pushing him into the construction, yes you can earn a bit but it also can go wrong , lots of risk doing foundations, brickwork etc. and you have no private heath care, pension money, holiday / sick pay , bonuses etc. my daughter 25 yrs old earns over 55,000 got privat hospitals locking after her, works when she wants.I’m seriously fuming with this govt, they tax you on everything effing thing you do. And when your dead they rape you bad once again. Shocking and I can’t see how they are getting away with it. I’ve no prob10 points

Funny I was yapping to my lad when n Saturday, hes 18 finishing his A levels in a few months in Biology and Chemistry plus a music production course..we got taking about university/jobs future plans etc... he's a bright lad and got his head screwed on, he said to me only one of his friendship group has gone into a trade (bricklaying), the rest are all going to Uni. His words were over half of them 20 years ago would've gone into a trade, they aren't super clever and the courses they are doing leaf to bog standard jobs and a pile of debt. I'm all for education but I agree with him, it's almost10 points

So after watching multiple videos on YouTube I decided to have a go at knitting my first ever net , I whent for a gate net as I don't realy have an use for a long net as rabbits are so thin on the ground round by me now so I watched some videos and sent acouple of pms to find out wich was the best twine to use, I then was giffeted some twine off my mate who had some left over twine from when he tried to make some purse nets but gave up and just bought some up so I thought I'd have a couple practice runs first and after 2 days I finaly finished my first ever gate net , still got to put the dra8 points

The way plod are told to police these type of events is so predictable its almost funny.....deployed in full riot gear, provoking crowds into a reaction, purposely blocking routes all to stop some white people waving flags and celebrating their day......contrastingly,when do you ever see this type of policing on a Saturday Pro Hamas hate march,Just Stop Oil or any of the other lefty socialist groups Palestine/Gaza etc etc all fully orchestrated for mainstream media to suit their " far right " narrative, disgraceful two tier policing.......we was brought up to fear/respect police....sadly they ar8 points
