Well guys I have to admit this is one of the best I’ve made. Next door neighbour came round for a slice and reckons it’s the best. I’m chuffed to bits with it. I altered the glaze by mixing ‘chili purée ‘ with the tomato and Worcestershire sauce. The venison tastes sublime when mixed with grated carrot, grated onion, smashed garlic and very finely sliced button mushrooms. What a dish. Jok

Let me add a bit of context. The dog is worked off the slip in darkness on ground which isn’t flat open fields more scrub land and patchy ferns with bits of open land between. The dog has to be pretty quick off the mark to catch hence no slip, sometimes if the rabbit is close to scrub she won’t bother but will be still on the lookout for a run. Probably not the most traditional way of lamping but it’s good craic the bags aren’t big but I don’t really care.

Took it to me Nan … I was going to go back to the garage tomorrow and reimburse them , but they sold off the land for housing , after renting it as a hand wash car wash for a few years …. So I will give it to charity….. for a blowy in return …. £10 should cover it …

Caveat Emptor ! An old pal of mine worked for years in Saudi and China, retired early and went to live in Romania. He married a much younger woman and bought a small farm.
