Yep look like I ruined my nephew. Kids 9 pretty much has massive crap load of energy and honestly I see a lot of myself in the kid. Like he's constantly asking questions about everything and simple answers don't really work for him. And just like me he takes a real shine to anything outdoor related. Well his parents,my in laws arnt really the outdoorsy type people, like they're not bad parents ,sweet and loving as all get out, just hunting fishing trapping camping running around the woods just plain isn't their thing. They're not against it they just have no clue where to start ( their words6 points

A lad rang me a few weeks back...had a dog I bred off me 10 yrs ago...dog entered a drain on his daily walk(been through it hundreds of times in its lifetime, engaging and bolting foxes) this particular day it was holding something else...dog wouldnt give an inch...the rest is history....I was gutted, and it wasnt my dog...every single male dog from that line was too hard for its own good, thats one of the reasons I would ship the dogs out to good lads and predominantly work and keep the bitches...some of them never learnt any manners and would spend most of the season in sick bay and cost a sm6 points

To be fair, the cane was the refuge of brutal sadistic pricks who wouldn’t say boo to a goose in real life, small men happy to beat the granny out of kids. They tried the cane with me twice and twice I said if you come near me with that I’ll wrap it round your f***ing head and beat you to death with it and they bottled it……a dig on the chin to a trapsy 18 year old is one thing but hitting 11,12,13 year olds with a stick is a c**ts game. jmho of course4 points

Been watching this a lot on YouTube recently. I’ve never been into guns even though I’ve rough shooted and done other forms of shooting over the years, guns av just never really interested me. Had running dogs for over 30yrs but now retired and I mostly preferred running bigger species. For the past few years I’ve got into slingshots and really enjoyed this type of hunting with the skill involved. And this is we’re bow hunting interests me. I know it’s illegal in this country so would have to go abroad for it . But the skill and getting closer to the quarry I find interesting. Anybody else bee3 points

Some one once said to me though I can't recall who that if I had not wasted my time on dogs and poaching especially lurchers I might have been in a better position I am in now and a think na the people I've met and the memories were well worth it for my position in life now.3 points

I Wasted a lot of time on people who didn’t deserve it. I don’t mean that facetiously either , from 11 - 24 I literally lived in everyone else’s house bar my own. sometimes I wish I’d had the foresight to invest that time into something other than dogs , monging about , kicking a football and boozing . time is the most precious commodity in the world , everything else can be replaced . everything Else, pah , que sera sera . Bow hunting is really big over here , we have whole season for it separate to the other ones. Ie you'll have achery season then primitive then youth then firearm. At least in my state. And it's a pretty vast scale. You have everything front eh guy with a $300 Walmart compound and set up hunting meat deer to guys who have 50k built up in arrow building , string building sights , arrows broad heads ect. I Mesn the leveld of tuning they do to make Evey single arrows do exactly what they want is nuts. I know one guy who has about $80 in each arrow before the broad heads takes game out to 100yd w3 points

Some of the land is very much like that Penda, amazing to see the wildlife still going about their daily lives up there in such conditions..these seven were a long old way off,the second pic is a crop from the first but even so far away they weren't exactly hard to spot.3 points

Also all large amount of archery guys don't really do the spot and stalk thing. Look tree stands which in its self is it's own thing....also saddle hunting have become super popular last two years or so2 points

On that point the UK is lucky Tats, because of its geography and also familial ties the average Haitian refugee finds it far easier to get to the states and join family members also living there, coin toss UK or states the US of A will win every time.2 points

Has he bollocks Was listening to him speak last week , " He said he's no interest in invading any other country plus no need for nuclear power. " He's not a stupid man. Unless NATO touch his homeland or he hits our homeland then nothing will happen. He's going to flatten as much has he can of Ukraine. Get us to spend billions then f**k off back to business leaving us crumbled in the economy financially lol. He's not stupid. He's got oil to fall back on to fill his piggy bank back up. We've got f**k all.2 points

Just back home from what will probably be our last hunting trip of the season, travelled well over 500 miles by motor & put in some very hard miles on foot in what was very testing weather to say the least. On awakening the first morning I opened the campervan door to a winter wonderland,it was extremely windy & the snow was very heavy indeed. The second morning we headed out it was mostly rain mixed with a little sleet but as we trudged up the mountains that turned once again to heavy & persistent snow. Both mornings were extremely cold with the temperature just below freezing bu2 points

Great cross for a bit of bushing. Mine isn’t a first cross and is a mixture of different terries and spaniels. 3/8 5/8. Looks more towards a patterdale though. He will push anything out of cover and ferrets too. I’d definitely get another. Touch wood he’s never dropped in. Had him around holes a lot as a pup and I think if I hadn’t have stopped him then he would go to ground.2 points
