They are trying to link it to stopping the boats, but I can’t make the connection ? If digital ID was simply amalgamation of passport, driving license, bus pass, NI number, NHS number, I could probably accept it. But what’s being proposed is you need it to open a bank account, access the National Health, buy, sell or rent a house, access benefits and any other government services. This looks more like controlling the people of the UK, not controlling illegal immigration. Cheers.14 points

I’ve got a birth certificate, a driving license, a passport, a bus pass, a NI number, a NHS number, what more do I need to identify myself ? If they insist on this digital ID, why not just give it to immigrants ? I don’t need it. Cheers.6 points

It's a no from me. Me and my Mrs were on a train Italy. I knew we were supposed to carry our passports but, for security's sake I left them in our hotel room safe. We were hardly a threat to anybody and we were in the EU then ffs. Three half arsed cops, trying to look sinister, with the peaks of their caps worn low, entered the carriage and demanded passports. It wa the like a fifties war film with nazi cops demanding papers. Quite exciting lol. We were in our late sixties at the time so at first I played the forgetful old man card. ( It wasn't difficult). They really put a5 points

There’s an old saying Dan; “ when America sneezes, the world catches a cold”.. Sadly we are not a world power anymore, successive governments have been carrying out what is known as “ managed decline”, without telling us. Trump has proved how powerful the USA is by the way they are the only country in the world that can hold countries to ransom by using tariffs! He could ruin our steel and motor industries or make them profitable by simply increasing or reducing tariffs. Thats the sad state successive British governments have allowed the Uk to drift into since the ‘50’s.4 points

I was happy with the one's I owned over the years for knock about pot filling lurchers and hardy rarely picking up injuries despite being run and lamped regular. A pic of sire and one of his offspring after a mooch around the doors in the 80s about the end of October both working together on smallish wooded land.4 points

Always a pleasure to exchange differences of opinion and interpretations of world events in an intelligent grown up way Wilf. I think I've set my views out and vice versa. I have nothing further to add. So wish you a good day.4 points

On a job with a some rope access techs a few years ago, couple of them trying to ‘out danger’ each other telling of the various bridges, masts etc. they’d working on. I showed them that video with Dibnah swinging about in the wind at the top of a 200’ chimney in a bosun’s chair.., not a safety harness or ‘two points of attachment’ in sight. We bred men different in those days, granted a few had the ‘half a day out with the undertaker’ but removing the risk from everything dulls the wits and creates complacency. That’s the price I suppose.3 points

I greatly respected a foreman I had once. He had developed an excellent way of managing men. Whenever there was a horrible job to be done. He would say " come on lads. I never ask you to do something I wouldn't do myself". And he was as good as his word. He would do the horrible jobs just to set an example. Poloticians don't do that.3 points

Seen a couple of the Gerry Cinnamon ones, Americans are on a different planet so not sure it even registers the same. I’m not even a fan of him but watching him on TV at TRNSMT a few years ago is maybe as jealous as I’ll get of the young ones today. Taps aff getting mad with it in the sunshine with all your mates singing “here we, here we, here we fcking go”!2 points

Strangely enough I have a lot of time for Galloway, don’t get me wrong I fundamentally disagree with most of his views?, ideology ?, world view ?……but some of it I do agree with and I also respect that he seems fairly honest about his beliefs no matter what the cost to himself politically or reputation wise. I have the same sort of opinion of Corbyn funny enough……he is a disease but he is a fairly honest disease.2 points

My pal back in England runs a thing for kids with his fishing club every year where they take a group of kids and show them the ropes, the do’s and don’t’s, fish care, skills everything like that…..wonder if there are any clubs near you doing the same mate ?……may be worth investigating ?2 points

The hats are made in Taiwan, the Arabs buy Trump a jet, Starmers glasses are £2500 paid for by a Pakistani and Dennis Skinner got put through university by union members subs !…….. When it comes to politicians of every political shade, someone else is paying for something ! Which as it happened just made a question pop up in my head, is it more disgusting that an Arab oil billionaire buys Trump a plane or that a working class miner pays for an education for Dennis Skinner that his kids will never get ? There’s a moral conundrum for you mate ? lol2 points

It’s like this, everyone will be smart about it……right up to the point they are walking into A&E with their toddler who has a temperature of 103 and the nurse says “If we don’t give paracetamol to get this temperature down then they are in serious danger !” Folks will be begging them to fire that into their child as quick a humanly possible ! Thats reality !2 points

“Fact checkers” will tell you mass third world immigration is great for your country……so that’s “fact checkers” sorted and out the way ! Comparing Europe and America on immigration is utterly flawed, especially in the context of Trumps line about “Your country’s are being destroyed…..” He is absolutely 100% correct about that from a European prospective !…….our story isn’t Americas story, it’s comparing ancient indigenous society’s who are distinct and have inhabited lands for tens of thousands of years with a country built on immigrants and genocide of native people that is only2 points

I found you get a lot of variation in pup's out of this type of breeding. I remember putting my greyhound beddy collie greyhound to a well bred greyhound bitch about 1982 and the variation in the litter even to a greyhound was surprising as this pic of litter brother and sister can verify.2 points

That's why there's loads of second class dogs about. Breeding dogs because you like them and not because of their performance. Someone said to me once, that they are going to breed their dog, because they thought she would make a good mother what a cnut!2 points
