...... had a few bevvies and I'm a bit pissed off. Short version I was was interviewed for an internal promotion in the business where I currently work for a new role of Ops Manager. Got down to final 3, for 2 roles. Today met one of the directors who has told me I challenged the directors board more than the others and challenged their targets in the timescales they set out. He also said I was "by far and away the stand out candidate in every part" and if they were only going to appoint 1 person to do this role they would have appointed me.... BUT the business wanted to ap8 points

It’s all about being a “team player” now; consensus, “group think”. It used to be about leadership, decision making, the buck stopped with the man who made the decision. Now nobody is held responsible because everyone was part of the decision making process. Cheers.6 points

A wee fat prod that delivers plywood to our place has the star of David tattooed on his arms and legs. The young fellas that I work with actually point and laugh at the dopey cnut. Lol. Where's yours at? Arm or leg?6 points

You can't really train them to mark time and experience and they'll do it naturally....the biggest mistake I see people making with a young dog is encouraging it to mark warrens and when the dog sticks its nose near they praise it......automatically the dog will register that behaviour is praised and you'll get a false marker5 points

His mates must've been cringing when that lot turned up, hoping for London Riots 2 but getting a trans demo instead5 points

A working terrier should want to work mate more than anything, I personally wouldnt be pushing the dog into anything, I'd try him at every oppertunity if its in him it'll show the more you give him, I'm very patient with a pup/young adult but a 3 year old not wanting it would probably not be here4 points

He does.. Remember that night when old Molly cost me a large sum of money at the emergency vets trigger ? We found her limit that night. On the subject of picking runs. My old dog Doris has made the grand old age of 12 and is still a handy dog in a rabbit catchers tool box. Even with countless injuries and muscle sprains etc she still catches over the warrens and often retrieves for me, even when I'm shooting bunnies at night or day. She's been in my opinion picking runs for the last 8 years or so. If she didn't have the brains to pick wisely she wouldn't have lasted this long. I can4 points

Dogs mark naturally, just got to watch them/learn how they do it. The reward is you getting whatever it is out4 points

Just got back from the doctor's after having blood tests last week and i am no longer at risk of developing type 2 diabetes thanks in the main to TOMO on hear who's advice i took he sent me in p m s . The blood tests said my blood sugar levels had come down drastically though if i continue to loose weight i must go back to the doctor's. Though it now appears evident that my continuing weight loss is probably stress related due to work and other things.4 points

Personally I lt reads like you dodged a bullett R. if it takes two people to do the task mate , it’s sounds like they are recognising your skill set is best suited to another role . id personally take that as a compliment and watch with glee as they argue and attempt to share the glory for themselves . you get to go to all the weddings ( a more profitable company ) if they suceeed and none of the funerals ( task failure ) win win3 points

From what I can gather reading your post mate you are like me not afraid to speak your mind and no matter how good at your job you are if the company is anything like the one I work for where most of higher management are younger than me and don't have many old school values one is saying it how it is as I know they don't like it just by their reactions where sometimes when they are trying to bullshit me they won't even look me in the face. I have had a similar situation this week as I put in a flexible working request a wile back to drop a day to work Tuesday to Friday that then they were qui3 points

Chris kaba got his justice . He got exactly what he deserved . Tell you what mack , when you look at a set of pics like that , it's obvious to see that quite a few people on a march like that , have mental health problems. Years ago , I was working the door on a gay bar in Birmingham . It always surprised me how many people turned up that appeared to have mental health issues . I think it was just that the gay community were more accepting of the difference. None of the above is meant as a criticism, it's purely an observation.3 points

I have a VERY tenuous link with him; we were both members of the Budgerigar Society. It seemed strange that such a huge man would have such a hobby, but he was evidently a very nice, gentle man. Cheers.3 points

Must be some serious money on this job, I’m only on a day rate here because it’s my mates job and he’s put a price in for it, he’s had the topsoil brought up from Lincolnshire, it’s the best soil I’ve ever put into a job, I dread too think how much it was for 20T3 points

We would all prefer a dog that 'tries' for everything and anything,...we don't wanna be wasting our time with a canine pal that ain't taking the hunting game seriously,...but,.. truth is,.. most dogs,.. not all, but the vast majority, of running dogs,. .will eventually throw in the towel,. .if worked regularly enough... .Everything and everybody ,.. can be forced to quit,..in the end2 points
