The way plod are told to police these type of events is so predictable its almost funny.....deployed in full riot gear, provoking crowds into a reaction, purposely blocking routes all to stop some white people waving flags and celebrating their day......contrastingly,when do you ever see this type of policing on a Saturday Pro Hamas hate march,Just Stop Oil or any of the other lefty socialist groups Palestine/Gaza etc etc all fully orchestrated for mainstream media to suit their " far right " narrative, disgraceful two tier policing.......we was brought up to fear/respect police....sadly they ar8 points

Instincts mate. A bit like thoughts, you can’t choose them they just appear! From what you’ve described I think you’ve done a good thing - saved a geezer and 2 girls from getting hurt, prevented someone’s boozer getting wrecked and restored peace so everyone could get back to what they were doing pre-fight. It’s what the old bill or a doorman would do, so what’s the difference if it’s Joe Public? You’ll always have some f*cker say you shouldn’t have interfered, but if that was my daughter and someone stepped in to save her getting hurt I’d be grateful7 points

That was the ONLY reason mate....im no Mother Theresa so no problem with the lads scrapping and im certainly no knight in shining armour come to save the day type....but you cant just stand by and watch young girls trying to part grown men like you say,ive got a daughter.6 points

So after watching multiple videos on YouTube I decided to have a go at knitting my first ever net , I whent for a gate net as I don't realy have an use for a long net as rabbits are so thin on the ground round by me now so I watched some videos and sent acouple of pms to find out wich was the best twine to use, I then was giffeted some twine off my mate who had some left over twine from when he tried to make some purse nets but gave up and just bought some up so I thought I'd have a couple practice runs first and after 2 days I finaly finished my first ever gate net , still got to put the dra4 points

It was mate and thankfully it's something they can't take away from us though I know those of us from the 70s onwards were fortunate to have the best decades as far as lurchers and hunting with them. I know some of us older generation tend to reminisce a bit about the past but to me it was a good time for hunting with lurchers that was a big part of our lives.4 points

I may be old and not up to speed , (pardon the pun), but why would you need an app to go for a good walk ? I fancy walking from Wallsend to Carlisle along the Roman Wall route, but I wouldn’t need an app to do it. Maybe an ordnance survey map, or just a compass and a watch. Or even just look at the sun and head west ! LOL ! Cheers.4 points

How long do y'all usually get out of a pair till you need to replace them ? Looking at about 3-5 months for mine till they get to the point I have to replace them per company policy the non skid surface on these barges eat the treads pretty quick or wears out the leather on top of the steel toe ...always a fun feeling dropping right at $200 on a pair of work boots, and these are the cheaper ones3 points

Nothing impossible, but depending on how good you can control temp , probably need to refuel it during cooking , which would mean taking meats off getting charcoal going bring it back to temp then put meat back on . Plus you're likely to lose a fair bit of heat being a thin metal ball , plus it doesn't leave loads of room as you'll want heat to be indirect, so Weber use guards so you have a ring of coals and a small space in the middle , you might want water under meat or fish . I use mine indirectly but do it half and half putting coals at the back and meat at the front , again this leaves le2 points

Comes to something when the most " normal " person in it was a tranny ! Wish they wouldnt drag these things out into a series when a normal 90 minute film would suffice.2 points

I can relate, just not to the generalisation. Like I said, stakeholder management and discipline is all there is to it. With experience you develop a sixth sense for those gaps, whether you're a PM or just work in a similar role in a project environment. Two minutes ago I just took a call on how acceptable it is for product battery life to significantly be reduced in freezing temps, 24 hrs before we commit 6 figures to manufacturing. That's entirely because, for this project, proper governance came way too late. I've seen no PM, waterfall, agile, bad PM and good PM. It's night and da2 points

I’ll give you a true example mate, a bloke I knew set up a relocation firm. He was a salesman with no relevant experience in the field beyond selling people the service. His firm did a relocation for a big solicitors firm in London, on the day it was completed the solicitors had one of their top lawyers flying in from the United States to do a job. One of the relocation lads forgot to plug in this blokes phone in his office…..so he sat there all day and did nothing. The solicitors billed the relocation firm £10,000 for this blokes lost days work ! That’s ten grand becaus2 points

I just go on the step counter on my watch. I think it's just curiosity with me on how many miles i walk now days when years ago tramping over the moors with a couple of lurchers or lamping all night it never crossed my mind how many miles i must have covered on a day or night out.2 points

Why can none of these people ever say or seem to understand that vast numbers of English people and British people feel undermined, unwelcome and under attack in their own land and events like this are just a manifestation of all those frustrations that are quiet frankly sneered at, insulted and ignored. I’m not an educated or clever man, but as far as I can see the question these people should be asking is not “should police be acting like this to gatherings of people waving a St George’s cross ?”, the question is “Why do they feel the need to be there proclaiming there own identity in t2 points

I don't need an app normally, and I would agree with you. I just want to do a few individual long walks and measure exactly how far I've managed in a day. I really fancy doing the Camino across Spain one day and it would be good to know what I could manage distance wise2 points
