Just finished rectifying the ceiling collapse, quite happy managed to pull the surrounding ceiling back up by over 2” with the frame a jack and some 8” fixings into the Joyce plywood panel for easy access to the bathroom leaks above for the future as well and just for good measures well I was up there replaced 7 blown bulbs in the chandelier

Part of what I'm trying to do includes going back to what I call 'old school trade' so instead of swapping money I'm swapping time/skills/produce. So far I've agreed to do a little bit of electrical work, probably equate to half a day's work. The trade for this was access to a small but well established orchard. Only about 10-12 trees but a mix of apples, pears and plums. All big trees and tons of fruit. Wi dfall will go to pigs and picked fruit will be for eating/jams/chutneys etc. Had a few visits already and had loads for pigs. They also gave me a box of about 30jars for the jam/chutne

My brother was in the legion and deserted and got back home. He then, somehow joined up again under a different name. He eventually got caught and jailed in french military prison. I think the actually gave him the option of seeing out his service as he'd got in twice, but he did the jail time and came home. Once back he joined the navy and then the marines, eventually becoming a paramedic. He left there and worked in UK hospitals. Now he's a chimney sweep.

Just going off what I’ve seen mate, a whippet will miss plenty of stuff but it’ll give 100% and they’re exciting to watch, when they do catch something bigger than a rabbit it’s an achievement because they’re punching above their weight. Pure Salukis are the most boring dog to watch just slowly running things to death, no urgency or drive I think I’d rather stay at home than go out with a saluki.
