I've had dogs that ran all winter on nothing but tripe and never lost condition, plenty of tripe and a dry warm bed and they did just fine. Havent a clue behind the science of it and couldn't give a bollox if I'm honest, if it works it can't be wrong.

I find tripe puts weight on my dogs. Maybe because they eat more of it than some other foods, or because it’s high in calories.. not sure, but mine do well on it, especially when I work them hard.
