I've had a fair few encounters with ferals over the years and in some odd places too in the middle of nowhere where you wouldn't find a rabbit never mind a cat. Even had a hob ferret nobble a half grown one in a rabbit warren too. Why is it not a legal requirement to chip them when it is for dogs, especially as people let them wander and then whinge when they get lost or splattered.

We've got a couple at work and they seem ok so far, the heaters actually work which is the main improvement on our old ones in my opinion.

There's always been characters and banter, even offliners but at the moment the worst thing is it's the same person seems to be dragging every thread down for no reason. He must get bored of being a c**t at some point surely?

An otter popped up locally recently and they haven't been round here in a very long time, it's in an area with about 7 fisheries all close together so I don't think it will have been welcomed with open arms.

Yes they do mate. My last hedgehog incident the dog jumped out of some cover with a hedgehog in 2 bits held together by a sliver of skin right infront of a poor woman walking her dog ? The dog was white when he went in there and came out red, cost me a fortune in flea stuff the week after.

Sounds like the ideal thing to go alongside your springers, they go like shit off a stick and if it doesn't retrieve you can send one of the spaniels to get it.

A local raw pet food place is trying to get 65p a pound for chicken mince and the butchers round the corner from mine is only 50p.

I hope you never paid for that ? I trained as a plasterer when I was a kid and still do bits now and again for friends but I'm reluctant to do big jobs as I'm out of practice but when you see some of the jobs that 'professionals' are doing and charging top dollar for it makes me regret my career choice 20 year ago.

Spray mites with the new stuff and they walk off flicking the v's. The old stuff kills them. So does pound shop ant spray but I wouldn't recommend spraying the dogs with it.

If they ever recover round here I think I'll get a little terrier based lurcher but for now I'll stick to not having one.

After having a load of mosquitoes in the water butt I put a few goldfish in there and they did fine for a couple of years, even tried to spawn regularly but the hot weather this summer did them in. They've always been fine with the regular water changes off the shed roof but there wasn't enough this year. I've upgraded to an ibc tank a couple of weeks ago and put a fountain pump in for a bit of oxygen. The water was going really cloudy though so I've knocked up a biological filter using the water pump in a plastic drum and some home made filter media. Cost so far for a 1000 litre pond is 25 qu

My hobs nadgers are nearly back inside now so I've chucked a jill in with him today, there's a bit of bickering going on but he's not trying to shag her anything like he would have been a few week ago.
