  1. Between 3 months and 3 years it's a five year ban from date of release. Over 3 years, it's a lifetime ban only overturned in Crown Court. Includes suspended sentences these days too. Been like that as long as I can remember.
  2. Drink Drive is hardly an SP30, is it any wonder the police take a slightly dim view of drink/firearms?
  3. Yes, both AA and Falcon were owned by NSP and operated from the same site, that's a shame if they have gone!
  4. I think I have missed something, have Falcon gone, if not can someone give me a link to their website please. Cheers
  5. I think Charlie has it again. Unfortunately, when you get past the specific legal issues laid down for Firearms, then you will be faced by individual subjective opinions of different regions.
  6. I got one of these, stripped the inside from it and mounted the whole circuit board and dimmer switch into my Deben Max, that had room to do it, just. You may have a problem doing that with a Lightforce, but you should be able to cobble together an external unit if you can't. They are so cheap it must be worth a try. My unit it still working a treat. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-12V-8A-LED-Light-Protect-Strip-Dimmer-Adjustable-Brightness-Controller-s/221981145681?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35310%26meid%3D13c2bbdd620045
  7. We all have our own opinions, but I think that's close on the money!
  8. They dont go a bundle on health and safety,i went to a tiger temple over there,i think theres around 120? adult tigers walking around, the only safety guidelines we were given was dont wear red, dont wear shorts, and dont make sudden movements likely to alarm the tigers? Flippen' ek, that's one place I will not be visiting!
  9. Playing devils advocate, its a good way to get some publicity, he had drifted away in our consciousness, now he may get the odd reality show or pantomime!
  10. I don't personally see one has any particular advantage over the other. I don't believe many people get through a full reservoir or bottle on any given trip out, but the bottle may be a little easier if you do.
  11. I believe the SL5 is the light version of the S5. The S5 was a good mod, I had one on my T3 Light but it made it ridiculously front heavy, hopefully the SL5 will be better. Post a picture if you manage to get one fitted!
  12. Saw that, can't believe the authorities will allow him.
  13. And that's about the size of it, but a quick rider, the crown may well be more of a give away forensically, if it shows any damage patterns or cutting inaccuracies, otherwise the rifling will be the main source of evidence!
  14. No idea about the power of the rifle but it seems to work. Whatever it is, I think I would still prefer something with a little more clout.
  15. The weather is causing all sorts of issues for me and my clients. The upside is, I had a good weekend of socialising!
  16. Whatever works in individual situations, but as others have said, on the rabbits I will most commonly be wondering around, pausing for a break sometimes where I think some may stick their heads up. The fox is without doubt the one I spend most time tracking, baiting and waiting to ambush. (Edit, to avoid any possible confusion, NOT with the Air Rifle)
  17. What sort of distances are we talking about?
  18. If that's the gun you want, and it is in good condition, then probably reasonable, but there is usually room for a bit of discussion! Can you try before you buy? Only you can really decide if you consider it good VFM.
  19. Crumbs, thought you had left the country. Your best bet is to have a chat with a good Gunsmith, but as #4 and #5, I think you will have a problem with that front sight whatever mod you are thinking about!
  20. I have a SP3, must be close to 10 years old now. Doesn't come out very often these days, 30" barrels (or was it 32", I'd need to check), excellent gun, can't remember for sure but it cost about £1200-£1400, when I got it new, what are they worth today? Little used, in honesty I'd say well under 2000 carts in its whole life. Offers?
  21. Anschutz do indeed make very fine guns! Back in the 70's, after many years with my BSA Martini International (an excellent rifle but you needed a Fork Lift to move it) someone turned up at the Club with an Anschutz, BA. I had never heard of them, but it was an eye opener, it was a joy to hold and shoot, and very accurate. Since those days it has been my good fortune to shoot all manner of rifle makes, in all sorts of calibres, shooting is a major part of my life and income. My views on Anschutz have not changed, they still make excellent rifles, but at the same time I find nothing
