Warm soapy liquid, same as davyt on verminhunters on youtube. I don't get the cleaning improving things much, if at all, I'm wondering if the soap acts as a lubricant, I'm wondering if the same could be achieved with the likes of lube, or simply a bit of detergent. There isn't one, there are loads! You don't need anything special on a 12 ft lb pcp. You are not talking about an aggressive caliber or long distances. As long as you can see the quarry/target clearly and it holds zero then that's it.

It is the reticle, not the scope that allegedly does the work for you. At best it will be closish! Factors such as scope mount height, barrel length/condition, specific ammo, etc etc will all effect results. I understand the reticle will only be accurate on a given magnification, usually 6x or 12x (I don't know for sure). If only it was this simple!

You may laugh but the French and some other countries now have bright clothes for hunting, Orange seems favourite, Wild Boar is big for group festivities and the French have been shooting each other too often rather than the Boar Hi Viz Camo seems rather an odd concept to me, particularly for Boar, but I have something at the back of my mind that deer may be colour blind. Boar/deer somewhat irrelevant in the air rifle section just the same! Sorry, don't know how that happened, I meant to post the one below! -

I hear what you say and I'm a cynical old bugger too, no doubt the rich will get richer, and just what is wrong with that, but as we don't have to pay the EU something in the order of £24,000,000.00p NET a day we should have some spare cash to look after the poor/pensioners/sick/unemployed/etc in our own country. Without doubt we will still get illegals, but we will at least be able to patrol our own borders and decide who comes in!

Trustees of Charities are seldom paid a wage/salary (expenses are a different matter) except in exceptional circumstances, neither do they get Golden handshakes "generally". There are of course exceptions, so who knows, but somehow I doubt she got a golden handshake, even if she had historically been paid!

The image quality/distance is improving all the time with all Night Vision equipment. Nite Site gun mounted systems take a bit of getting used to for some people because you are looking at a screen and not through the scope, however, they offer decent enough images for most applications and at a competitive price (within the ridiculously inflated general Night Vision price structures).

Well, this thread is far from over, there is a long way until June, but I am amazed at the apathy and fraudulent suggestion being made by a small minority. If you don't vote then you don't have a voice, whilst I can't remember the last politician or government I 100% believed or trusted, I would like to think the voting system in this country is not too corrupt. If the vote is for out then the Government will take us out. If you don't vote then YOUR apathy is likely to be the reason the vote is not high enough to leave!

I had an Ultra some years back, it had a daft cack handed cocking/loading operation and the gun kept leaking air, 'orrible thing that caused nothing but problems. I understand the model has changed somewhat and actually works now. As for the bull pup types, well, they are creeping onto the market and I suspect many will be available in a few years. Don't write off the Hatsan, whilst I still wouldn't go anywhere near another Hatsan Shotgun, their air rifles aren't bad!

If they are bad then I skin them on site or leave them. Perhaps its just posh round here but I don't get that many % wise with fleas, or tick (hardly ever see a deer without the tick though). The last thing I would do is chuck them in the back of the motor then hang them up anywhere at home in the hope they would go! ATB!

Do any of you remember hearing anything about this on the main stream news reports? A multy World Champion beaten and robbed seems news worthy to me, but I don't recall seeing anything much, did I just miss it or was it not covered that much?

There are a few, but as already suggested, get what you like that can be converted, I get the impression right or left, a lot start 1+2 and get converted for those who want them.

As above and a few other comments. His programs are entertainment, he has created a brand and I suspect many on this forum would have been more than happy to do the same!
