  1. I can go round corners on my 4WD locked Diff, but its very hard work and a big turning circle, it also feels like the motor is trying to rip itself apart!
  2. I'm not worried about physically putting a stud on the forend as such. I am more worried about how easily shogun forends come off. I guess it should be ok though. Fair comment and good point.
  3. I know its more than tempting putting it here, but Classifieds is the place for this.
  4. I picked up on them when they first turned up, they do seem to offer a bit for the money. I believe SGC are the importer/distributor for the UK, at least they were in the early days. I have heard mixed reviews but it seems true to say they haven't made a staggering impact yet!
  5. I'm not sure how much you have to work with on the front stock, but I put a stud in the fore end plastic of my Magtech 7022. Obviously, thought went into the precise position, and I also knocked up a long rectangular metal washer to sit snugly internally in the stock and help spread the weight/stress. Internally the whole lot was then imbedded in Evo-Stick, Sticks Like Sh*t. If your front plastic stock either doesn't offer this opportunity, or simply isn't man enough to handle it, then it could be a barrel band!
  6. The Little Nippers are fine for the odd DIY job, I still have a handful knocking about but they don't last. I have found the bait platform can easily deform, it can easily be set much to hard, and has a bad habit of releasing on your fingers if you try and set it light. Like I say, for the odd DIY problem fine, but I use the Snap E almost exclusively now, I have a few T-Rex but they are simply not required for almost everything I do. Whilst the Snap E is a bit more expensive than the Littler Nipper (and the Pro Victor) I find they work better and last longer which in real terms means
  7. Fair bit of expense, mate ?,...& how 'cost effective' will it be (gassing), compared to the use of approved kill-traps,for moles (for example ?). When giving your customers, the choice ? There is no answer to that as each job is different. I very rarely have to resort to gas, but it is useful to have it as an option. I can't remember a situation I ever used it because it was cheaper, I use it when it is the best option for the job. Still a pain!
  8. In the country I will use whatever is about, in domestic type environments usually dog biscuits. There is no guarantee of fox just the same, all sorts wonder into the traps.
  9. Valid point. There are loads of traps on the web, but get one a decent size and strong, the fox will do its best to rip it apart to escape, and it WILL need checking at least daily, preferably twice a day.
  10. Almost anything, look at the environment you are finding them and what they are eating there, that's always worth a try. Chocolate is also good!
  11. I see what SS is saying, and perhaps I'm just a cynical old boy, but I have had an awful lot of experience with an awful lot of regions, (I do all the FAC references for everyone in my club and it seems like half of the hunting community as well) and I have learnt to never rely on the Firearms departments, always ask, even then it is not uncommon for them to get things wrong! ATB!
  12. As far as I know, if you come across a Fox (with your FEO's permission) you can shoot it. If say a farmer call you to look for and if found shoot fox, it has to specify this as a condition on your FAC, no matter what the caliber. David, I'm confused here what you are saying, if you have the condition AOLQ you are perfectly entitled to legally shoot the fox, you do not need your FEO permission and you do not need Fox specifically listed on your FAC. Any Other Lawful Quarry means exactly what it says. What he said. There wouldn't be any point in AOLQ if it was limited. It
  13. Wind effects EVERY pellet/bullet/projectile, it's just that some are a little less effected than others!
  14. So what happens in the few yards after 38.3yards then, isn't it still within 1" for a while after that?
  15. Is this something to do with the new forms? Whilst it may well be added, as far as I'm aware, if you want expanding, make sure you ask for it regardless.
  16. I have the T3 Lite in .223 and the T3 Hunter in .243. Both work very well but if I was to start again they would all be Hunter versions, feel and balance works far better in my opinion, and still a light rifle!
  17. Any Other Lawful Quarry means exactly what it says Which part of ANY Other Lawful Quarry says except fox? Of course you can shoot fox on AOLQ.

  19. Do you actually like any thing !! As it happens I like lots of things, but guns are tools to me, there is beauty in a good tool, aesthetics are superfluous. I don't spend money on guns because I want a pretty one, but that seems all important to many people.
  20. Are you seriously telling me anyone wants a gun like this to walk around the farmyard, stables, woodland, barbed wire fences, etc etc. These type of guns are for hanging on the wall, but I can think of better ways of spending the money anyway. If it floats your boat then fine!
  21. Lifted from the latest Home Office Guide, but this is Law, not guide. Dates when Game birds may be shot (taken/killed) are as follows from section 3 of the Game Act 1831 (all dates inclusive): England and Wales Partridge 1 September – 1 February Pheasant 1 October – 1 February Black Game (heathfowl) 20 August – 10 December* Grouse 12 August – 10 December Capercaillie 1 October – 10 December† *except in Devon, Somerset and in the New Forest in Hampshire when the open season is between 1 September and 10 December. † While Capercaillie are not currently found in England and Wale
