My staffys were useless gaurd dogs. they would bark and growl if somebody came to the house but once they came in they just wanted petted. Id say collies or a decent terrier type dog.

Hopefully it will put the idiots off keeping powerfull breeds who dont have a clue how to keep them under control. have to be a good few examples made first for it start working, if it does work.

Fished it a couple of times with brambling worms years ago, got a load of pan sized brownies. One of the boys with us got some using a wee mep. Its an alright loch to fish. Never saw any fish over a pound.

Nice write up and good pics of your foxes lads. Been hearing more of people out ferreting catching or bolting foxes. Might not be the intended quarry but well done... a catch is catch to me. Places i go is full of foxes. Never bolted one or came across one in a burrow yet thankfully. their either lucky ferrets or hard as fook.

My older cousin was one of mine. I used to go up to my aunts house and he would always have either rabbits or hares he had caught with his lurchers. He took me out one time with him when i was only a kid and we caught one rabbit, only saw one. Walked for miles and i tore the arse out my trousers going over a barbed wire fence but thought it was brilliant.

I reckon a spaniel would make a great dog for marking. Excellent nose, obedient and soft mouthed. My uncle had one years ago and she would often catch rabbits whilst bushing and retrieve them live. They dont tire easily either.

Your not odd at all. Thats the way most women are and being in ireland and the irish can and will talk about everything and anything, you know if the place is the slightest bit messy the folks coming to view the pigs will comment on something, maybe not to your face but once their gone they will. No offence to the the irish great country great people ☺.

Aye the police lie and are corrupt to the core. Only met three or four coppers whom i thought were decent. The rest iv met were cnuts. Beating the crap out young fellas for next to nothing. Setting people up for serious stuff, and the list goes on. know of a couple who were busting drug dealers so their own crew or mates could sell them. Well so the rumours go. their into everything the scumbags.

Again city folks banning country sports they know nothing about. Dont see what cats getting thrown to fighting dogs or a pup getting attacked in a park by greyhounds has got do with hunting. absolutely nothing. I think they have bigger issues to deal with in belfast first.

Only heard of them getting three shots when they start their jags at 8 weeks. I got my terrier his shots for first time at christmas and because he was over 3 months old, he got his 2 in 1 shot first, then his booster a fortnight after that, this year he will only get one shot. I just buy the shots off the vet and give them their shots myself. Sod paying for consultation fees.

Very hard to catch them, any time any of my mates were caught poaching was because the keeper or bailiffs ended up hiding in bushes and literally had to sneak about in the dark (sometimes day) so they could catch them. Persistance, patients and time that could be spent doing something more productive. Is it worth it for a couple of rabbits though ?... You have a added danger where the guys armed and you dont know him or what he'll do if you try nab him. id say just report it to land owner and let him deal with it.

Something i always fancied doing when i had the staffys.but it was too far away. Still it would be a good thing to get into. A day out and something to do for the dog which they would enjoy.
