  1. Sorry to here that, i take it was deliberate the cage doors being left open.
  2. Your right wideboy it wasnt the dogs fault. It was my inexperience in keeping working dogs. Been used to keeping pets up until recently. Im only giving the advice that i never got.
  3. I made the same mistake. I got two young dogs and ended up having to rehome one of them few weeks back. messing and wanting to play with each other all the time. hundred times easier training my lurcher on her own now. Be a couple of years before i even think of getting another. Atb.
  4. Cadburys cream eggs, boosts, drifters.
  5. that wee dog is a absolute belter Trev.A cracking ferreting dog.
  6. sorry to hear about your dog.
  7. Might get a camera for next season, phones not up to much for taking photos. Nice pics lads.
  8. whats been said already. Get a second opinion. you know your dog better than anyone. when you see him suffering its time to get him pts. Never nice but has to be done when time comes. theres good and bad vets. Some seem to not give a sh1t at all and are out just to make money.
  9. Congratulations tb ☺.
  10. Havent been able to find suitable holes just yet. always in awkward places like beside roads or places where you cant dig. Had 2 sheds to do last week, nothing in them though. Put the womans mind at rest at least. She can go get her coal now Lol. Thought i would have got something the way she was going on. My ferret got a couple last year. Me and some neighbours had rats in our gardens. Between ferret and traps we got a good few.
  11. Aye i saw that one getting dragged back with tail for hammering Lol.
  12. Is he biting the rats through the chest to kill them ?. My hob done that with the couple of rats he had instead of going for the head.
  13. Very good video owen, oscar looks a cracker and hes well able for them rats. enjoyed watching that ☺.
  14. I find my hob will clear burrows quicker than than my two jills together. He often kills and would move on without any delay, so you wouldnt know unless you hear the rabbit or he comes out with blood on his nose. Hes big but doesnt show face till the warren is empty so doesnt mess the nets up. Hes great for big warrens only. smaller burrows or hard digging ground i use the jills. They seem to take their time more and are less likely to kill. but saying that my hob has had plenty practice where it was my two jills first season.
  15. Cracking video Zeus. Been following them on youtube. nice to see whats happening underground when the ferrets come on the rabbits and how they shift them. hope to see more videos next season ☺.
  16. iv a 7 month old staffy russell first cross. Got him for a bit of ferreting and bushing but mostly for ratting. he wont fit into most fox earths. When we go out for a mooch i spend more time telling him to drop whatever he has in his mouth, he eats everything and anything and if it starts to rain or hail he takes off like a B1 bomber and heads for home. takes ages for staffs to mature.
  17. Their crackers. Good on the guy for sorting you out.
  18. smack them with a spade.. lol.
  19. I bet it was. Fancy a shot at them myself once i find easier holes to ferret.
  20. Sorry about your ferret meeks. She was well treated to make it to ten.
  21. Nice one owen. Did the hob take any damage.
