Finger up the bum.. Your mate is winding you up lol. Even if it did work, your gonna have to pull your finger oot it's jacksy at some point then your in the firing line.. Sorry if a proper pit wants to attack your dog about the only thing that would stop it us a blast from a powder fire extinguisher before it bites to put it off.. Once it bites the spray won't work.. Been around pit dogs a lot since the 80s when I was a kid till now. They can be great dogs in the right hands but some are absolute liability's no matter what you do with them.. Like watching stuff like that, though I can see him having a nasty accident one of these days, there was one he was in Africa annoying the lions, he was saying they wouldn't attack him cause they could tell he was predator because his eyes are set on the front of his head and he walks on two legs. Fair enough but there's plenty videos and accounts of people getting eaten by them.

Bro to sis and mother to son, the kits might be slightly touched but it won't effect their working ability, more common than you think, In people too. Just leave him in a bit longer should be sound.

Hi folks. I'm just after getting a new pup, shes 3rd generation beddywhippet lurcher to lurcher cross. She's coming up on 10 week's and is a hand full, which is to be expected from a young pup. Looking for any info from guys who have worked these dogs and the best way to go about training them, as I want to get the best out of her. She will be mostly a ferreting dog working rabbits and rats. Thanks.

Could the red dots be midge bites, both mine are looking a bit red round their ears and one has redness around one of his eyes, sprayed their cages the other day cause they were scratching a bit. Their getting eaten off them.

Oh f**k that thing coming up the tree at you, I'd be getting into the fetal position and bawling my eyes out. Tranquilizer gun would be handy too in that situation... Shoot myself in the forehead with it. Like how it just gave him a look up and down then fcuked off. Lovely creature though it could pull you llimb from limb.

I've heard all the bollox if keeping them viscious, snap their teeth, pet ferrets can't work, it's all a load of pish. Like what vanman said i spend a bit of time with them everyday playing and handling them so does my wee lassie. Their pets but put a rabbit or rat in front of them and they will kill it no bother and not bite me when I take it off them, git one hob that will clear a warren on his own and works all day, won't see him till the last rabbits bolted, They also become fairly obedient after a while.

It's up to yourself if want to name them. I got one hob called Loki cause hes pure mischievous and always causing trouble backs down from nothing and the other called Rob because he's an out an out thief and stashes everything behind my shed. Mine are pets first then workers.

They don't make spare parts for mk1 anymore so if anything goes wrong with it you won't be able to get it fixed. Iv got the mk3m which is decent enough and fixable. Never used bells on ferrets but I'm under the impression its more for the ferreting dogs benefit, give them an idea where the rabbits gonna bolt. I could be wrong though. If the ferrets far enough underground you won't hear a wee bell. I'd go for a good brand new locator. Save a load of hassle.

Put the mackerel in the freezer overnight. Let it thaw out. Gut it, head off and pull the spine out. Comes out easy, give it to the dogs raw, no bones. He loves it.

What type of snakes would you get ?. What happens if the ferret meets one does it just come back out bottle brushed or would they have a go at it ?.

Best of luck taking them to court, il throw a couple of euro in the kitty if needed. Don't even know you but can't stand these so called do gooders taking your dogs and waving their authority about, Wee Hitler's. Atb.

Your ferret sounds as if it's just acting the bollocks now and not stuck at all, would I be right in saying it's a young one, cause mine used to play up till they clicked their out to work and not mess about, had to dig one of mine without a locater or spade, fookin balls so it was, best part of 5 hours but I wasnt going home without my ferret, got stuck in stop end behind the rabbit, now I have locator personally wouldn't go without it, here's another thing to try, if you have a gutted rabbit put it in a purse net at the hole pegged, make sure it's well and truly tangled so the ferret doesn

As someone already said, baited mink trap and just check it hasn't dug out where you blocked the burrows, leave a bit of meat in the hole block it up and if it's gone try digging if possible, leave your number with someone close by in case it goes for a nosey around peoples houses, hope you find it.
