Used to be a shop up Burscough St in Ormskirk about 25 years ago that had the best black pudding i've ever tasted. He specialised in it and there were loads if different types. Made fresh at the back of the shop, you could see the huge boilers and mixers from the counter. There were trophies on the shop shelves as he'd won best in Britain many times. Even travelled to europe and won in Belgium, France and Italy. We used to go in a pub in Pemberton Wigan, The Dog and Partridge, on a Sunday after working the dogs and the landlord Bill would have trays full of good black pudding, o

From what i read Plummer's original lurchers where from old gypsy lines. He added huge ammounts of collie when he got the 'phoney' Merle dog and if true was to promote collie bred lurchers for his friend Hancock's new breeding venture. Like many Plummer tales if true is a damn shame and huge mistake imo, as his early books tell how good them first lurchers were. -
Corkman, you are spot on about Barrie Wade - A gent and a hero of working terriers. Frosty, i'll save that one for another day, though he wasn't shy in telling folk who'd listen. Sid, i've no idea if Albert is still around but i'd doubt it...

Met most of the names but the ones that made an impression... Frank Buck at Gt Yorkshire in the 80's, crackin old boy, with a glint in his eye to talk a youngster more but time that day was against us. Brightmoore was kind but fearsome. As he told us, over his kitchen table, about Barker bred dogs, hard dogs and chasing Plummer off his land. Park i met all too briefley when we went up to his place to buy a pup out of Jimmy. Seen him at a show a few years back but didn't speak to him. The last of the best, is how i'd describe him.... Admire... Well all of the above i've met

Although i dont know that much about medical cannabis and CBD's I do know my brother knows a lot about it and has been taking it , bought from abroad, since being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December. I very much doubt its doing anything for him, as he is getting worse daily and his pain is almost unbearable. The cancer has spread to his lungs and he has been in a hospice since the middle of January. He still takes the stuff daily and his doctors know and turn a blind eye. I asked him if it making a difference on my visit earlier, he replied he doesn't know.... Only

Some old photo's of our collie bitch, 51 years ago, with my mum and me as a babe in arms. The collie my dad used for rabbits and she caught em well enough. The next is my parents, with the litter she had to a cur type jukel (as Bill calls em) And the last is the pup my dad kept back and me (on the left) and my brother lol..! That bitch was a very handy animal.
