  1. Simoman, Baw, Axum, yankie Dan and the Brick, ALL i'd have back in an instant... Great debate, great banter. What about the girls, Buttermilk, that Scottish lass, who i cant think of her name on here and a few others who created great debate. Some great coursing lads too that really knew their game, Desert Bred for one, Optimus another, i really miss. They knew their history, they knew their dogs... And whilst were talking about it, Wilf, not seen him on for a while?
  2. 'Parliments will' of voting out a no deal Brexit.... What about the 'peoples will' of voting to leave...!! Fecking shithouses, who's own interests are above the will of the people who elected them....
  3. Only over the past few days have i heard the media admitting that it has boiled down to the people v's parliment, which it now has. It's clear amongst the chaos that they will fight tooth and nail to make this as soft as possible, out in name only. Why, because either they have a direct, personal investment in europe, or simply because they dont want to work any harder for their wage.
  4. K'inell.. Only talking about these with my brother last week. We had em back in the day, great speakers..!
  5. An old NG photo, which did say 1950's but i'd go a bit earlier. Nice bit of nostalgia whatever the year...
  6. I believe that around the same time lads started digging much deeper, on a regular basis than they had been doing before....
  7. Lakelands were outclassed (or outworked) by black dogs years ago. The black dogs were better, full stop! Not that there wern't any decent grafting Lakies, there were and Glyn is dead right about Llangollen all those years ago. The last digging Lakies i seen was 35 years ago. Dogs from Cyril Tyson, John Cowan and a couple off Middleton but not his show stuff. A couple of dogs came to north Liverpool direct from Tyson and were dug to for years, the pups out of them also. A mate of mine from Wigan had a bitch off Cowan and she was very good, though wreckless on foxes. She was
  8. If I were you i'd be looking on Preloved, Pets For Homes and Dragon Driving, those sorts of sites will get you sorted ?
  9. Think you'd be surprised by how many terrier and lurcher folk have exibited and judged at Crufts... ?
  10. Yep, Honda are the best. Though i did buy a Cobra about 3 years ago and its been excellent. Had a Mountfield before that and although good, the Cobra beats it hands down.
  11. Bottom one's a frog. Good pics though. Be surprised if that male toad makes a recovery, though it's done what it was put on this earth to do, so good on him. Like toads, one of my fave creatures and that cry is a shocker when you first hear it for sure..!!
  12. Think you may be talking about Gary Hosker, who had a first cross beddy/greyhound called Spud. Handy dog i believe, though i think one or two folk thought there was more than just beddy and greyhound in the mix. There is a vid or two showing a son of Spud learning his trade, good viewing too.
  13. I find him an annoying idiot, with the worst quiz show since Going For Gold...!!
  14. It's phoney shite, what the feck was in it is anyones guess... Like white chocolate, wrong, just wrong...
  15. Darbo, I'm not sure if that dog was the 'type' bred by James Arhigno in the picture above... It was written that Plummer got his first dogs off Arhigno and those first dogs were not of 'obvious' collie blood if the photos are true. Bear was his first, a dog that looked very Deerhoundy and the type kept by most gypsy's at that time. Penguin and Fathom were supposidly direct from that line and at best were smooth lurcher to lurcher looking hounds. Again, my thoughts are that Plummer would be promoting collie bred lurchers in that photo, to help his friend out of a bad spot.
  16. Nah, the most you should do is just jot a couple of the most important prompts down and wing the rest. ?
  17. Thats Terry Aherns Rusty, first cross collie greyhound if i remember right...
  18. Nobby, that was a bloody brilliant watch, recon you've got a bit of a knack for commentry too. Keep em comming, i'll deffo watch.. ?
  19. Yes but he crossed the two Stormy, Wooly Bear was Merle x Fathom to name just one. Hancock said himself that it was a mistake to do so.
