    One of the best things about travel IMO, weird and wonderful food. Will give almost anything a go and have done. Want to try that tinned putrid fish from Iceland next. Keep looking at folks balking trying to eat it and thinking, give it here, i'll smash that! Thing is, as long as it's a 'staple' or the norm in whatever country, it's gotta be worth a go. Wouldn't want to eat some of that stupid, cruel, gastro stuff i've heard of (live monkey brain etc) but with the exception of rat (cos their feckin rats!) or anything endangerd, bring it on.?

    Need a bit more info on your Dan dog mate. I'm sure you'll get plenty of replies when folk know what Dan dog it is... So, cross/type/breeding etc ?

    Good pics them Katchum, love to see 'genuine' working dogs. Getting back to Two Crows post, couldn't agree more. In past times, Lurcher production was always governed by geography and ANY dog that might produce, was used in areas that were predominantly arable. I've never bought into ideal that the 'traditional' lurcher is being collie, or sheep dog bred... Read Ted Walshes Poachers Companion book, which is a collection of old poachers tales from history, all put into one book.     Sticks in my mind too Wilf... For all the wrong reasons. At age 13, i believed Minter was unbeatable. Winning the title and in Vegas and i think Hagler was his second defence. Watching it with my dad and granddad, the build up was electric. I remember first seeing that steely eyed look from Hagler when he first entered the ring and suddenly it didn't seem quite so comfortable for 'our boy'. Marvelous Marv was devistating and through his accuracy and power, Minter split like an old leather couch and it was all over... Then the bottles and glasses reigned in on the ring and chaos

    Swazi and Paramo are both very good but aint cheap.

    Remember a kennel design picture put up on here, was a cracker. It showed a really decent fall on the base for quicker drying and it sloping toward the kennel box, with the aco drain at the back. Making sure the kennels feet allow water to pass beneath. The reason for this it that it drys quicker at the front, where dogs stand the most and you can clean and swill down from the front, which is easier.

    Just been reading about RVD being introduced to Oz as a biological control agent and it killing 10 million rabbits within 8 weeks of its release...! In my opinion this disease will wipe out the wild rabbit in many countries over the next 10 years. Thankfully native american species, like the cottontail, are not suseptable to it (yet!)
