  1. No Jiggy, it doesn't slip my mind on other threads, just slips my attention, as i ain't looked at em.
  2. Lets get one thing dead straight Jiggy, if people want to debate either the dogs or the people in that clip then thats fine with me, because thats what this forum is about but as i said, keep it civil, no name calling etc.... debate not slate.
  3. I know both the lads and some of the dogs on that film personally Mr P. And i know for fact that Ged and Lulu were very much tried and tested single handed dogs. We can all sit here and pull anyones chosen game to pieces but whats the point...
  4. Keep it civil boys or i'll pull it....
  5. Lads, ain't gonna be in the tub direct for a few hours, just doin the hokey cokey... In out, in out, shake it all about an all that jazz... May governments never more stifle us, may our quarry be respected and multiply, our land forever green and our dogs be fast and true.... Good hunting to you all in 2019
  6. Never been much on NYE and with a 9 year old, we've just come back from a meal out, a bit of telly with a beer or two now and then hit the hot tub for a few hours from 11 o'clock. See the NY in from there. ?
  7. Thanks Breeze, though they were the only two that you see sommat..!
  8. I believe why they are not more popular is for two reasons. Firstly, to use a 'Plummerism', there would be a fair bit of litter wastage, heavy, strong pups and back say, in the 60's and 70's this would have put a lot of lads off breeding a litter and the knock on effect is with us today. Secondly, Labs have a reputation of being late starters (which may be completely untrue, i aint got a clue as i've never owned a Lab!) And like GSD crosses could put lurcher breeders off...? The dog Kevj mentions was owned by the bloke who wrote in EDRD years ago under the name Greylab. The dog was a very
  9. The reason we posed for the photo above was that we had been trying to see if we could get some lamping photos. And on a crappy camera here's what we got...
  10. Two unrelated examples of this type. Photo taken about 27 years ago. A youthful version of me and my bitch on the right. She was bred almost the same as my current dog and worked in pretty much the same style too, she's the reason i went back to the same type. My mates smaller, black and white dog on the left was a good honest grafter too. A hard mutt, he liked rattling ivory with bigger quarry and in his old age had lost or broke most of his teeth.
  11. Another of Joe's breeding, does exactly what he said it'd do... ?
  12. If it performs half as good as its lineage then you'll do just fine. Best of luck with it... ?
  13. Love Paramo gear, been wearing it for years. Its surprisingly much tougher than it looks...
  14. Bonny pups Andy, plenty of bone, like that..?
  15. Brilliant find Darbo, i remember that..! How uplifting is it to see that lurcher trotting happily beside that bike down rural lanes... Though i'll have to watch it fully tomorrow.
  16. Rob (judge) Rinder on Watchdog tonight on the subject of Vets v's online meds.. No idea if its gonna be any good but maybe worth a watch. On in a min...
  17. Though i'd much rather run any dog without a collar, my busher works with a collar with one of those rubber 'chipped' tags on, to identify that its been chipped. Also gives it a lovely 'pet' look, which can come in real handy in certain spots.
  18. Divide an conquer is spot on BUT it is the 'governing body' that should have pulled us all together, especially following the marches but no, as said, they bounced us to save their bacon. They can rot for my money...
  19. 30's art deco i'd guess at, though i do like it.
  20. Too right Boris... Give them what the've given us for years... FECK ALL..!!
  21. Tim Bonner and his fecking cronies should have got their self indulgent shite together before 2004 and coursing wouldn't be where it is today... Fecking turncoats..!! They bounced us for foxhunting back then and they'll continue to do so now because its the easiest way to save their own arse... How many times have they supported lurcher work since the ban? How much effort do you see from them when bellends like Pwackham is spouting his bile and others who are against everything hunting with dogs... Nope, far easier to give modern lurcher work bad press, paint us black, support h
  22. Just got back in from a couple of hours walk. Got 4 out of 7 runs on rabbits. A sad state... But i'll still catch my rabbits wherever i may find them...
