  1. Come on the Germans... My fave team in the comp. But I do fear that them orrible, spawney Argies will lift the cup.
  2. Bonny pup there WM, hope your lad has more luck with it.
  3. Still a tough call... The Germans have the best team? The Dutch, on paper, are a great side with arguably the better players? The Argies are slimey, spawney feckers with a genius up front? Who knows...!
  4. Sideshow Bob having a damn good whinge there, pity he couldn't have put a bit more effort in for his country...
  5. Yan from Llandudno Pablo, dog dealer? As someone who's owned and worked an EBT, I'd tell anyone who thinks that they would be worth a punt, don't bother...! (I was a keen kid in a different world and I just got lucky). No different than any other fancy breed, because there are far more tried, tested and trusted breeds to choose from. Sure, if you see a litter and you feel you 'may' get sommat out of it and it wouldn't bother you too much if ya didn't, then fine, take a punt. Same as folk who have terriers with EBT blood, if they work well, good stuff! Better to use a line where EBT
  6. Yep, they do like each others company.... But when I'm not around... Separate!
  7. RAW, first off let me just say I'm sorry for your loss, losing a dog at work is tough enough, at home must be a damn sight harder... Is it just me though, or I'm I the only one who has never seen greyhound blooded dogs as pack animals..? Never have, never will. I've always seen them as solitary hunters, working only for and with you. Same with terriers, by their very nature, terriers are better kenneled single, or very selectively. Brought together to work, in the likes of the DBP types of hunting but at home, separate. Then there is the 'need' for some to think them little 'un
  8. I was recommended these and found them super comfy and almost indestructible, if I don't get 5 years out of them i'd be very surprised..! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dunlop-purofort-thermo-wellies-/191232125280?pt=UK_BOI_ProtectiveGear_RL&hash=item2c8652a960 Watch this...
  9. Dog sounds right and the price certainly is. And for anyone reading and thinking of placing an ad this is how you write one! Best of luck with the sale.
  10. Is Paulus the bad guy for removing your post (which I didn't see) or has he done you a favour..? Damned if you do, damned if you don't... And yes, there are quite a few posts and pics that do slip through the net, on a site this size, thats inevitable. Jim, as far as I know, from what I've read on here and by those who I have respect for on here have said, you are certainly a man who knows his business... And, from what I have read of your posts you certainly don't have to be 'blatant', for folk who really know, as to how well you go about your business. So, what I would say is
  11. Same age, same situation, same end. I know all to well how you feel and the simple fact is what you already knew, some dogs just don't make old bones....
  12. Thought Robert Plant was fantastic (didn't expect anything else!) Ed Sheeran is just simply very very good, have a lot of respect for that kid, like the way he goes about his business. As was/is Ellie Goulding, who really did surprise me, wow, she really rocked out and is damn easy on the eye too! If I was in my teens, there would be posters on my bedroom walls and crispy socks under the bed..! Dolly was/is in a league of her own, fair play to the 'ol gal, I always love her line, it's taken an awful lot of money to look this cheap..! Metallica, as has been said, seen their
  13. Great stuff Ray, wishing the happy couple a bright future.
  14. I like that one WM, I remember years ago John Park looking over a terrier and on lifting it, described it as like a coiled spring of gristle an muscle.
  15. There are a few on here that make collars, all have their merits. Take your time, sift through and find what your looking for.
  16. Dixie, i'm so sad that the Kennel Club, in all it's majesty, don't agree with me.... Not many do..! But I know this, i've never, in 30 years looked at any terrier that ain't black an tan and called it a Lakie.... Seen a red an called it a red or fell, seen a chocolate and called it liver, as it used to be before the shecklel but should that colour have the title of its type..? Seen them whites and said they are all Russells and long should they be so.... Oh, an seen the blacks and called them whatever I was thinking at the time, Fell, Patterdale, fit to burn on occasion! Riddle me this...
  17. It's that fella out the Manic Street Preachers, he jumped off the bridge and has been lurking there ever since!
  18. I've read and re-read this thred and as far as i'm concerned the only type I see or class as a Lakeland Terrier, working or not, are those dogs that are black an tan. I don't care if it was born out of 100 years of black and tan breeding, nor born in Cumbria, if it ain't B&T, it ain't a Lakeland. Call it the feck whatever you want but thats the truth. No different than the fact that if it ain't white, it ain't a Russell.... Simples! Oh yer, sorry to piss on anyone's chips but there are some fine examples of working terriers on view on this thred, of all types and colours, thanks f
  19. My dream team is me, a keen pup and a lithium powered dazzler with good connections.... Just about as good as it gets...!!
  20. 'Game'.... I fecking love that one, when either used with Lurchers or Working Terriers..... It came across the pond with those Yank bull dogs in the 80's and has no place in British working dogs. I've posted before on the subject, that I've been around long enough to meet some of the names of our hunting scene, the old guard, many of whom are now sadly long dead and never have I heard that word mentioned to describe our workers... Don't get me wrong, the word, the term, when used for what it was first intended is the best you can use but for our 'sporting' dogs, Not On Your Nelly!
  21. And if Carling made bull crosses....
