  1. Wishing you the very best with your recovery mate. Your making the right decision here too. Doing right for yourself and the pup. Take care.
  2. I knew Soapy back in the day, bloody good singer of hunting songs. From days out with the Fell packs to the 'old' Welsh show, with a pint in hand Soapy turned heads to listen.

    Funny Ryms

Georgy Porgy pudding and pie kissed the girls and made them cry when the boys came out to play he kissed them too, he was funny that way!
  4. meet you at the back of beyond 07.30 am on neverday please can I come all this people seem to think you're a legend I want to learn from the best No mate, 'us people' just think he's a good bloke who provides a great day out to those who have a bit of respect.
  5. The one printed in Wigan? Hard to come by now, i did own some but gave to a mate who needed em. Thats good money for a cracking look back.
  6. Taz, would love to get down before the seasons end. Thank you.
  7. Goat, thats the best day out wrangling i've seen in a long time, start with a huge insult and end up with a day out. Taz, if ya do let him on make sure you let us know how it all went.
  8. The Kinks, Waterloo Sunset. The Jam, Thats Entertainment. Springsteen's Thunder Road. Any fecking song by The Who..!!!
  9. Good time of year to be selling 'angora' ferrets. In this weather with poor shelter coats grow like feck...
  10. That is cool as feck but unfortunatly at my age, it screems mid life crisis...!
  11. Once upon a time SS only made standard collars and most people went for an oversized one. Seen some real silly sights at shows with folk parading round some skinny arsed mutt with a huge shiny collar! Some poor dogs did look daft and i really did get why those who didn't have one to give them some stick! Now it did take him a while but about 3 years back 'ol A came up with a real Lurcher collar and i was lucky enough to be given a 'prototype' to try. It went strait on my old half cross and there it's been ever since. He's a bit of a lump, my old dog and that dog could/can put a real strain on
  12. Tomo, them Herman Munster ones are the ones i got, you'd be surprised how comfy they are. Never out of mine and feel indestructable but if you think they are too much, go for those ones that have a sort of 'pattern' on em, just make sure they aint steeleys as they come with or without.
  13. Might be of help if you added 'type, age, breeding and maybe a photo'...

    Stevie G

Apart from the fact that he supported ( like Carragher!) Everton as a kid. He was the greatest midfielder of his generation. He was also partial to the odd run out with the dogs too....
  15. I still dream of Organon.

  16. Poaching... funny old word these days, sounds all illegal and romantic, especially on here. Thing is they aint never gonna ask, some people just aint built too, I know, i'm one! A 47 year old manager and yet i have trouble 'asking' for permission, always have?? I'd always rather 'nip on, nip off. Ain't it wierd never been given permo by asking, only gained when offered but thats the way i'm built, maybe the bloke that was on your gaff was like me...
  17. Teeerrrrrrrminatoooorrrrr boy...! I liked 'ol Len, bought feck all off him but liked him all the same. Downsouths just said it right, Len never pretended to be anything else, everything was for sale and fair play to the old bugger, he served a purpose to many. Didn't deserve that spell he did, damn shame for a man of his years. I hope his remaining years are all good. They don't build characters in this game like Len French any more!
  18. That dogs nicely proportioned Matt, nice shape too, just shows you how a pic can throw you off as i'd have said it was much bigger than 22".
  19. Great pic's Marshy, a mate of mine seen Toby run too, along with Swoop. As has been said, those dogs made names for themselves in a world almost void of Lurcher publicity, just goes to prove, 'when they really are that good....'
  20. Five years ago i lost a very promising young bitch to the same thing, funnily enough also called Meg! Did your bitch do sommat to trigger it, mine ripped herself and required a few stitches, nothing bad but enough to act as a trigger my vet said...?
  21. A good Deerhoundy lurcher is a fantastic animal, sadly there are so very few about...!
  22. The simple truth of the matter is that the Police will always make a 'mistake' and get the law a bit wrong, they know shit sticks and once read will encourage people to report in. They probably have had a few more reports of lampers round Frodsham (which most weekends is like Blackpool!) and rather than deploy more staff they'll get Joe Public to help. Thing is, this time the complaints came in about it and the've been forced to back track but mark my words, they don't give a toss, they know the damage has been done. But now we know, so stay safe and give Frodsham a wide berth...!
  23. I like my bronzes and thats a nice piece for good money. Not my subject matter but someone should snap it up.
  24. I want a nasty little Jewish princess, a grinder, a bumper, with a pre-moisoned dumper. I dont want no troll, i just want a Yeminite hole... Frank Zapper.
  25. Dont forget flyball and rollovers!
