  1. Sad news that, seen all of his years at the cup and a few puppy meets over on Altcar too. As you say, no age... I hope he gets a fitting send off.
  2. Looks like Wales is under the cosh at the min with thefts. Hope you get it back M.r1
  3. WIf its just doorwork you want em for Tomo, just get sommat cheap and insulated. No need to be paying out big bucks for sommat your simply standing around in and apart from the odd dash (either to or away from the action?!) They just need to be warm comfy and look the part. Forty quid sounds right to me.
  4. About 30 years ago i made good money shooting rabbits off an infested caravan park over winter. I used a Relum Tornado with a improved spring. It wasnt the 'classiest' gun to use and far from the lightest but boy did it do the job. I bloody hated it at the time but looking back it was a crackin workhorse!
  5. Good 'ol Air Wear are good on cold floors. That air cushion really helps an you can run fast in em too...!
  6. Fair play to him, well done for landing the job, lets hope its the first step to top flight management.
  7. THLPatrick has a nice old school Deerhound cross on. Its about 5 years old and has seen some action..! Drop him a pm.

    Slugs

Bitter Gnash, you may have to come up north to get propper stuff...!

    Slugs

Beer traps work well, best if you sink a jar in the ground outside. Salts good but messy and like copper is only a deterent unless poured direct. I'd just get some good 'ol slug pellets and put em out of harms way, like under the shed. Not a slug or snail in sight within a couple of days.
  11. So by that logic that dog would rather have its arse chewed up...!
  12. Always fancied Lambourn but never made it, our Mecca back then was Llangollen.
  13. Great stuff Tomo, really pleased for you. Nowt better than a pup thats ticking all the boxes.

    Slugs

Gnash, is the wood frame of the house all able to dry? Slugs thrive in rotting materials, is the shed, or part of it, on its way out? They thrive in rotting gear, may be worth checking out.

    10 Years

Ten years... I'm only glad i marched and fought for my beliefs and, though getting older is never good, I had some of the best years...
  16. Give any dog a quirky name if you want too, a name to make you smile BUT always give it a name that it and you can grow into. A name that, in time you can say with a bit of pride and respect... If its name is a joke more the chance of you seeing it as a joke and losing interest before it has chance to prove its self....
  17. Got to agree with HPR here, that dog is a baby yet and will mature in time. Me, i see it as a pup with a shape that wasnt designed for the show bench and, if you know what your looking at, know it can and will take shape all too soon and balance that nice napper out. Keep on keepin on, i'm liking that youngster, keep me posted. ; )
  18. Second bit of advice Nicole, sift through ten ton of banter and shite but the answers are always there.....
  19. Welcome to the site, first and best bit of advice.... lose the harness...!
  20. The name referes to a 'type' rather than any breeds or lines BUT there were lines about, the most famous being Mick Douglases stuff. I knew of the type to be big rangy long coated dogs, usually fawn (honey) coloured. The ones i've seen could certainly kill a hare or two but sadly thier number was up when the desert dogs came to town. I'd bet if you looked hard enough someone somewhere has got stuff that goes right back...?
