    Hunted all along that M4 corridor,..it passes through some large provincial towns, that used to be chock-a-block, with running dog enthusiasts... Met loads of lads from Wales, after sport and seeking their fortunes,...they had nothing left to hunt in the Valleys,..so what else could they do... As for protecting the place,..well, it is a massive area,..lots to go at,..but, there will be risks to consider,..always has been...

    NOTHING will ever stop keen hunting men from freelancing.... Lads have been taking illicit game since early times,..those who seek to protect their interests, have tried many dark and devious ways to stop poachers... The facts are, imprisonment,..dismemberment (man traps, etc ) and even sending them on an impromptu sea voyage, to Botany Bay, has never curtailed them.     Not sure of the scientific benefits of even feeding dry foodstuffs to lurchers... But when I did, I always poured some lukewarm gravy/broth over the mess,..it just made me feel better... AS regards feeding regimes, "You do, what you do"....it's a free country,..etc, etc,..but personally,...I don't think you can beat, a bit of raw meat... Obviously, a totally meat fed diet is wrong,..no cur in the wild, be he a hunter, or a scavenger, would be fortunate enough to make a kill every day...     Good, accurate breakdown on the Hornet situation there ZacB... Done 40 + Hornet nest this season,...all but two,..were easy work,..because, in the main,..although they are an Apex style insect and fat and juicy,..they are not, as a rule, on a par with a busy wasp nest...If Hornets attack,.it is pretty awesome, but usually, they just act dumb,..confused,..and die pretty quick... I always feel slightly sorry for them,..but there ya go,.we do, what we do, eh...
