That is a fair number of Wasps nests to be treating,.in May......hopefully, we will all do well this season....
-
Go along,...have the craic and enjoy the noise, colour and excitement,...accept it,.for what it is....

Feck the money,...ya can't take it with ya... If hunting with dogs is your passion,...you have to take what Mother Nature throws at ya... Our working dogs live a proper life,...they have the privilege ,..(as do we),..of walking the walk,...so,..a wee bit of expense is feck all..
-
Its not how many you catch,...its how much regular work that your reliability, skill and honesty generates.... Mole trapping can be a good mistress,....and open up a whole lot of 'other doors'......
-
I've handled that old dog,...definitely a nice strong example of a half cross....
-
Funny you should say that.... Back in the late 1970s,.my hunting partner had a 28" Saluki male, that would definitely bite strangers... He was a big strong,..smooth coated, grey grizzled critter,...opened up my uneducated eyes as to what a pure-bred coursing breed was capable of... Talk about a shock to the system...

There are a few ACD's about .....but ya got to be real careful with regards to TEMPERAMENT.....

Always sad to hear when a fellow hunting man passes on.....RIP...Krawden....

My suggestion to you,... would be to leave the Bumble Bees alone..... YOU make the decision as to whether or not to eradicate a harmless critter,...not some panic stricken fecker on the phone... Remember the modern pesters code,..The Three B's,...Badgers, Bats and Bees,... Ain't worth the potential hassle,...let em lie...

Sorry officer but phil said he thinks we will be OK.... Well if you are netting, proper,.. nice and quiet,...you won't ever need to ask an Occifer.... Just do what ya gotta do,...feck anyone else....

Looks a bit like a Computer Game.....no regard for the target species,..anyone could do it,...and only a divi would get a kick out of it....

As a deterrent,.the average GSD is the boss,...folk are scared of them,...its kinda engrained in our psych to be spooked by a wolf like critter...... All this silly,.. Billy Big Bollocks talk about a particular breed of Devil dawg and suchlike,.. is total bollocks... IF someone really want to get past a vicious man killer, they will simply take its eye out with a .22.... Best way to avoid a dog robber or a ferret thief,.is to shut the feck up,.. about how good your stock is... For the record, I don't do any hunting,..my dogs are 100% pets,..I don't keep ferrets ,...and I am an OAP.

C'mon now lads,..lets not be silly about such things... Facts are,..if you choose to breed working dogs,.there will often be a skeleton in the cupboard, that can return to bite you in the bum... I've recently finished a treatise on the subject of pro rabbit catching,....and, trust me,... things ain't always what they seem... There is a marked difference in being part of the hunting life,..... when wages are involved.... I am sure that this sapling will satisfy most rabbiting men... So, let's get together and find this promising young lurcher a good home.....

to really test if the dog is the real thing take him away from his yard have seen this done a few times.take him too a place he has never been before.stake him out on a long chain for about 40 mins on his own.get somebody too come back and start too put pressure on the dog from distance and work ur way up too the dog all the time increasing pressure.if he is still hopping off the chain to get to u within 5ft in my opnion hes the real deal.ive seen too many curl up at this stage. But if he's only gotta guard his own yard then what's the point? Unbelievable ain't it ...

Any Of You Guys That Fox Hunt Ever Heard Of This
Phil Lloyd replied to kyboy44's topic in Bushing Dogs
My cur dogs track b*****d foxes, and poxy fecking deer on a daily basis,...I'm fecking sick of it..... -
i do like her to be honest theirs a lot of quality about her just by the way she carriers herself.the big shepard on the chain is everything i would try and avoid. I'm not really experienced in guard dogs fellah,...so I cannot speak with any real authority on the subject,...but why would you avoid that GSD ? He comes from exceptionally good lines,....as do all of the dogs kept on the place.....

I feel that if you have been in dogs for a while, and have (hopefully) learned something about the way they tick,..you are soon in a position to know as to whether they are going to make the cut,.or not.. For them, as can see, it usually stands out a fecking mile... As to your next move,.well, that is an entirely personal decision.... Nowadays , I only keep a few curs for exercising the local rabbits,...they ain't up to much,...so there is no stress.. In short, it just don't matter.... However, back in the day,...things were different....they had to be.

Cracking picture Sowhat... -
Fair play to you Fellah.... You might be right with regard to your dog perhaps looking,.. a bit on the lonesome side.... Dogs, by their very nature,..like to be amongst their own kind,...(not all of them,...because,..same as some people,.myself included)...a few individuals prefer their own company,...they choose to walk alone,..but, as a rule, canines are pack animals and enjoy all the benefits that having a back -up team, can so often provide... As to whether you should go for another dog,...well,...that is a decision that only you can make.. What I would say is,...and you must know
