  1. Feck me Mark, stick with it mate I'm still searching for 'The one' from my youth and, I'm expecting those rose tinted spectacles to let me down a little I don't think that grouping is bad so far - for an oldie
  2. Ooh mate, I dunno about that ... Each to their own and all that but, really, try before you buy. I tried a Pulsar before I bought my GSX100. Pulsars are nice but, they're loaded with technology which, in my humble opinion, will be a good thing when Daystate get it right If you're hell bent on on a bullpup and you're looking at that budget, have a look at a Cricket ..... They're very accurate and built like a tank. I wish I'd never sold mine.
  3. Nice one Si ..... You'd have emptied that pub if you thrown a rucksack through the door Sounds like my plans for new years eve/day - a few beers on new years eve, then a few more, then a few more Then, off to the woods just before dawn on new years day - I reckon I'll take the Super 10 for that one though
  4. Good to see you here mate ...... Welcome to the mad house
  5. Among the usual smellies, books, alcohol, the missus and little 'un got me the Evil Dead box set and number 2 in a Necronomicron I'm well into collecting retro horror films and others from the 80s and early 90s so, these will make a fine addition Hope you all had a good one
  6. Good on ya Mac, Hope you both had a good one yesterday mate
  7. I don't imagine he's got many regrets. RIP to a true rock legend.
  8. Fresh air and sweat is the fastest way, followed by a fry up
  9. I've always liked that set up If I had the cash free, I'd have it now.
  10. I can see the TV adverts now......... just £3 a month will help the hares that Nelly has blinded with his new Photon Seriosly mate, that's coming on nicely
  11. No worries mate Marks point is a good one ..... from those chrono readings, it could be dieseling ..... check for grease on the piston seal and the front of the compression chamber when you take it apart again. In fact, after thinking about it, you may be able to smell dieseling from the loading port or the end of the barrel. If it smells like burnt grease, a few more shots may burn it off and bring back consistency.
  12. Ha ha ha ha ha ha, feckin springers Sorry mate but, that did make giggle There was one point that I snatched up my TX by the barrel and stormed outside with every intention of lobbing it at the shed. I wish I could offer some good advice but, I'm an amateur at this and, these bloody springers seem to be a black art. Persevere mate - you'll get there I wish you all the best with it.
  13. I've only ever tried a .22 and that was nice. I also tend to prefer .177 - I reckon that'll be a very capable bit of kit Atb mate
  14. Happy Christmas to you to Phil When did you get the second Wildcat you sneaky git?
  15. Enjoy it mate Happy Christmas.
  16. Thanks for the kind words Mac ..... I'm looking forward to seeing your posts of it being used Atb mate
  17. I heard the same mate. Apparently there was one woman at Rapid that used to be a nightmare to deal with Also, Impact have ceased production and, are now only doing servicing and parts for Rapids and Impacts. I'm not too worried though - my RFD in Devizes is very good and, there's a wealth of knowledge available on various forums
  18. Most of the reviews I've read have been based on the company rather than the product. If you're ever down this way mate, give me a shout - there's a nice big bit of land where you're welcome to try mine. As long as you bring Kaiser of course
  19. Yes, it is a bit warm What pellets are you using? It may bed in and drop but, I doubt it. If you take out the tophat, depending on the size of the neck (preload) it will reduce power. However, if those readings were taken with a medium weight pellet, you could still be a little warm. Also, if you do do take out the tophat, the firing cycle may feel harsh. Try dropping a delrin washer into the piston to soften it a bit. Leaving the set up as it is and either collapsing or removing a coil or two might be the best bet.
  20. I nearly bought one a while back but, when I handled it, it felt a bit Meccano. I understand they run well at FAC levels. Could it be a bit SA80-ish Personally, I prefer a nice bit of walnut and blued steel. However, I have heard that these can be very accurate
