  1. YOU CAN ONLY SHOOT ONE AT A TIME lolHow many have you got now Nelly? 2 JJ lol FOR NOW Well, to be fair, that's only 1 for each hand - you'll need at least 1 back up rifle to cover each of those, you'll also need something completely different to all of the others as a curiosity, and you'll need a springer .......... Nelly, When you start repeating all of these excuses to the missus, tell her 'Mac said'
  2. YOU CAN ONLY SHOOT ONE AT A TIME lol???? How many have you got now Nelly?
  3. I've never tried these but, if they work in your rifle, I imagine they'll be very effective. ...... 45yrd head shot on a woody - enough said
  4. Nice shooting Si That helicopter is a bit random ...... I'd have sat in it humming the Airwolf theme tune
  5. You're absolutely spot on I was looking at crossbows recently - you can pay less than £300 for a compound bow that will fire a 20" 100gn bolt at almost 400fps. You can order as many bolts and broadheads as you want and .......... they'll deliver it directly to your door It's mental when you consider the restrictions on pellet guns
  6. Hi Mark, There's a few of us here from the shire Welcome aboard mate. Jon
  7. Nothing too exotic - just pellets but, I love it when something new and gun related arrives Uttings are doing bulk deals on x5 tins of FAPs 5 x .177s for £37. 5 x .22s for £48. ...... cheaper again if you buy in 10s. These were recommended for my springers a while a go and, since I first tried them, I haven't looked back. They're a nice soft lead, lightweight pellet. They really get a move on and, for hunting, they hit and deform very well From my TX200hc, the .22s (13.43gn) are doing around 615fps. From my HW97kt, the .177s (7.33gn) are doing around 850fps. If
  8. Well said, as a non Air rifle owner I been loving this thread and keep checking in to see if it been updated, great to see how the work has progressed. Get one mate, you won't be disappointed If you're ever up this way, give me a shout - I've got a few you can try and, there's a really good club local.
  9. My favourite is my TX200hc .22. It spits out FAPs flat and fast (for a .22) and, because they're a light, soft pellet, they deliver a good hit. The TX isn't light but, I like that - for me, it helps with stability when I squeeze the trigger. However, that weight also means that, unless you're using some form of support, you can't hang around on target for too long before the wobbles really kick in. One of the best bits of advice I was given when I was learning to shoot this was 'Don't dilly dally. When the shot's on, take it'. It takes practice and, I've had some f***ing appalling practic
  10. Feck me, that's what you call well tooled up Sounds like a blinding day Try LH with an HW40 - I've been using one at Black Cat - I'm a cack handed twat and I'm still beating Davys scores I'm glad the Merlyn is serving you well mate - my offer's still there for that adaptor, just let me know if you want it
  11. You're bang on about that stock mate Have you put a picture up for this lot yet?
  12. Good shooting Steg Always nice to see the ktla doing the business
  13. Nice shooting I keep hearing good things about .20 as a hunting calibre. ........ I nearly went for that Raider when I saw it for sale - I reckon you got a good 'un there
  14. You've done well there Phil Enjoy it mate
  15. I'm now on the look out for an NV rangefinder so, I'm happy to do a deal against this scope
  16. It's a good honest post from a responsible air rifle owner It's been a joy to read. Well done Rich
  17. This is the best advice How would you feel if someone was cracking on to your missus? Flirt with her for a giggle but, you shouldn't let get it go any further. There's loads of birds out there that are fair game. My advice - when you do find one that you like, remember that you'll be a long time dead - don't be shy. No need to be crass but, don't be shy either. You might just surprise yourself
  18. Very true I remember one of my first hunting trips - the rabbits were everywhere and not shy but, I still came home with f**k all
  19. Cheers mate It's a shame there's no pictures but, as already said, that's how it goes sometimes
  20. Cheers mate - we both enjoyed it. A long time ago, when I was around 8yrs old, my Grandad decided to teach me to not worry about the dark. We went off to the woods one night, got settled in by a tree on the edge of the wood and, stayed there for a while. After a while, the wildlife started moving again. It didn't have a clue that we were there. ..... I'm always grateful for his lessons and, I'll never forget them
  21. Very true mate - the TVs mostly bollocks anyway. I can't sit and watch soaps or transsexuals giving people make overs I saw the picture of your lad with the Wildcat - it suits him .......Always good to see the next generation of hunters coming up
  22. Cheers Ant, Very true mate - I've always said that strange things can happen when out hunting - especially at night I think that's part of the reason that I like it so much - you never know what might happen
  23. We went up to the manor house permission last night........ We did the usual and had a check round the chicken sheds and grain silos for rats first but, there was nothing moving at all. Then we bumped into one of the lads that lives there. He was out with his shotgun and torch looking for the fox that dug its way into a chicken shed and killed 7 chickens earlier in the day. As we were stood there talking, we heard some sort of aircraft coming from the direction of one of the woods. It was getting louder and louder until it appeared - it looked like a C130. It was big and had 4
  24. It does seem to like a soft lead diablo Give Falcon Accuracy Plus a whirl - I reckon you might get even better results
