    Cheers Rez. It was wet and muddy down there last night but, thanfully the rain held off for us. I've kinda got my spots sussed now - there's one 5ft high shed with a clean flat roof - that's THE only place I put my rifle down on this permission You know John, some folk laugh at the Trigger Stick tripod that Mark and I use but in sh1tty conditions they are unbeatable. I was talking to an old pal in Sheffield who does some ratting and he bought one on my suggestion and thinks it is nothing short of a game changer when it comes to ratting, standing or sitting. Perhaps worth a look. h

    nice work jon looks like you've earned your bottle of southern comfort, it'll be wingin its way to you soon you'd of got loads if you'd of been where i was, it was well testing!! permanently focusing in and shots varying from 5 to 30yrd there were quite a few follow up shots required. that rifles far to nice to be getting dragged round a dirty farm in the night atb si Likewise Si - it looks like we've both earned it mate I'm not a fan of Vodka and, I've never seen this one before but, it came highly recommend I made the switch from .22 to .177 on this permission last night

    ..... I've just got in. We started at about 10:30 and, feck me that was hard work. The 10 pig pens were indeed all empty and, as I suspected, no pigs = no feed = no rats. We didn't see any at all along that side. Our only opportunities were at the bottom end - a 10mtr wide empty goose pen and a 10mtr wide pig pen with a 1mtr wide track in between. The whole area was a wet muddy quagmire. There is a shed at the bottom that had a few calfs in. This is where the feed is now so, this was the only place we found rats.     your on jon this pig/ rat farm is something else, my mate was cringing.... they are all over the place! didn't even go in the buildings... its like whack a mole! ill try and take a pick on me phone through the n/v its beady eyes all over i could of done with a machine gun atb si Ooh, sounds like a good challenge mate How about this....... I'm out with my mate on Tuesday. Who ever puts up the single pic of the most dead rats on Wednesday wins. The looser sends the winner a bottle of their choice (up to £20 value).     Not that surprising you say you've never heard of them considering you've said on here before that you don't pay attention to British politics. They're probably the most active far right protest group in the UK. I don't think I ever said that I've always paid attention to British politics. Like I say they sound like a handful of idiots to me, if they've only got a few members I think we can safely assume 'far right' groups aren't really a threat Here's their giant march Nazi scum. I wonder what their grandparents would make of that.

    I know exactly what you mean mate. We had very little growing up, I think that's why I'm so careful with this sort of kit now. I was out shooting with a mate a few months ago - he dropped his rifle and it hit concrete. I knew what it was just from the sound - that cold jolt shot through me when I heard it I would have absolutely f***ing died if that had been my rifle. I keep sheets of kitchen roll in a pocket on my dpm smock so that I can wipe my rifle over if it gets moisture on it when I'm out Your HM is another very nice rifle ...... Haven't seen it for a while thou
