    And just for Davy............. I did my next round in the Black Cat 10yrd pistol comp' today. It turned out that my team were joint 1st in November and clear winners for December I shot my targets for January today - 5 shots at 3 targets. Although not Olympic standards, Roger said I got the highest individual score of the competition so far So, let's see your posh new pistol ...... I'm fine with this old knackered HW40

    This morning I decided to put the Airmax scope back on the GSX100 and, take that and the HW97kt to Black cat for a session. I'd been there for about 5 minutes when Mark turned up with his Cricket and the TX with 'that' stock on it. I got the GSX zeroed, then put it away. I tried the JSB Heavies in the 97 but, they changed the feel of the shot cycle - it was more harsh and, the rifle became more jumpy. I could also hear a slight twang. As soon as I switched back to FAPs, it's manners returned and, I was knocking down the targets again. I tried them over the club chrono - these

    I popped out to the big manor house permission last night with Mark (Marky71). It was his first time up there in the dark and, I still haven't got anywhere near sussing the place out properly yet so, this was more about having a wander to see what's what. I took the GSX100 and Mark had his Cricket. Both .177, both using JSB Heavies. We started out on the smaller bit of land where we park. I took a couple of rats under the grain silos from 26yrds. One wriggled a bit but, the other just fell flat on it's tummy without so much as a tail flick We headed off into the orchard for a look

    I will be putting in for shotgun , 17hmr , 22lr , fac air , ground to air missile , rocket launcher , ak47 and a tank for my hunting trips .Some say i should go for more but I think that will do me for a bit Ah yeah, that will probably take a while then :laugh: The ground to air missile sounds like fun - the pigeons will already be cooked when they hit the floor

    115 days for an air rifle with a few more fps? I could kind of understand if you were looking to own some yank contraption kicking out 200gn pellets at supersonic speeds but, that sounds a long time for an air rifle. Good luck with it

    Hmm, good question I don't have an FAC so, I've only tried a couple of higher powered air rifles. A .25 Matador running at around 50 ftlb was an awesome beast but, noisy. I think I'd be tempted to stick with something longer than a Bullpup - with the extra power, I'd like some weight up front to help with accuracy. It's not very original but, I'd look at Rapids. All reviews seem to point to them being accurate and solid. Good luck with your choice

    i don't like paying for a load of mangled up shite but the quality is sound on the last few tins I've had!! its just tossers from bournemouth i don't like It' a good job i am not from bournemouth I'm always getting Brighton and Bournemouth mixed up ........ I know that one is one is like gods waiting room and, the other is full of poofs and students. ..... I just can't remember which is which

    You're welcome mate I was wondering, are you using the thumb hole or thumb up? I won't be at the show mate - I've used up all of my holiday until April and, most of my days off at the moment are spent helping my parents out.

    Nice one Mac I honestly do think that Daystate know how to make fantastic rifles - they just seem to have pushed things too far too soon in the last couple of years. For me personally, I prefer their mechanical rifles. Always nice to get the first kill with a rifle

    I'll list these in order of my favourite hunting rifle ....... Impact GSX100 .177 with JSB Heavy 10.34gn. Not the flatest trajectory but, I've got used to it now and, the way it hits gives me confidence. TX200hc .22 with Falcon Accuracy Plus 13.43gn. Nice fast, flat pellet (for a .22). The soft lead seems to deform well on impact and deliver a good hit. BSA Super 10 .22 JSB RS 13.43gn. Exactly the same reasons as above. I know they're pretty much FAPs in a different tin but, oddly, these are more accurate in the S10. HW97kt .177 with Falcon Accuracy Plus 7.33gn. I haven't

    No Jon Sean,s was to big (adapter that is lads lol) But you no what i like it the way it is mate so i dont want the adapter she is not noisy at all and i like the way she looks with out a big fecking tube stuck on the end of her lol may be a different matter once out in the field mind I was going to go to the old perm this morning around 4,30am but it was p*ssing down Just cant wait until i put her to work she seams to like bis mags a lot but im going to try her on Jsb heavy's but i do need to try her out to27,,,30 yrds my prefer,d distance to zero mind should zero her at
