  1. It's no fun if it's too easy mate. Ask my feckin missus
  2. This is the first post that's made me miss my HW100. That's a nice set up and some good shooting mate
  3. Cheers Steg, I'm not quite at Simons poetic level mate. I just bang on and hope for the best
  4. Cheers BN. I forgot to add - having a good walk about during the day, we found a couple more places for rabbits and an old hollow tree with more squirrels living in it
  5. I think you're right mate that was such a satisfying shot. Conference is definitely building ..... It's just a shame that I can't fit NV on the TX. The missus is off to Sainsburys shopping tonight and, I don't have to get up tomorrow
  6. It was a really funny situation And that girl on the quad is an animal - she throws the thing around and slides close to the trees like she's indestructible Is she good looking Top class as all ways JJ  Cheers Mac She's not bad, quite a short broad farm girl. She's no supermodel but, her nice smile and her wildness does give her a certain charm. ..... I would
  7. Wow. That's weird. Flattering, but weird. Sorry mate, I don't lean that way. But it appears you do. Basketball Walshie, Basketball... Noun: A passing style in which the ballhandler performs a crossover step in the direction of the intended pass and then extends his or her arms to throw the pass around the defender. What on earth were you thinking of Nice escape, slippery. You promised you wouldn't call me that on here

  9. I would trust him to give a reach around

  11. ..... The group of trees that my squirrel ran into. After that test for me and the TX, I was more than happy with just the 1 for today
  12. By this time it was still early and quite misty so, we headed off to the other part of the woods by the lake. ...... we know there's a big drey up there As we rounded a corner we saw 2 squirrels on the ground and, they saw us. They shot up the trees and off along the branches - I followed one, Mark took the other. Now, so far, I've done well with this TX on targets and I've taken a couple of easy Pigeons. This was it's first proper hunt. I followed this squirrel through 4 trees until it stopped. I left my shooting stick behind when it started running. It was up on a high bra
  13. Mark got his one first..... He had to take the shot almost straight up, into the small branches right at the top of the trees. The squirrel hung on for a second, then dropped. I thought it was going to land on him
  14. This morning, just before dawn, I met my shooting buddy, Mark, at our big manor house permission. He's quite a bit older than me and, a real 1 man 1 gun type. I keep trying to get him to come on here - he's a good 'un and, I reckon he'd fit in well. He took his .177 AA S510 and, as usual, was using JSB Exacts. I decided to take my .22 TX200hc and a pouch of FAPs. Just as the light was breaking we had a look all around the grain silos and chicken shed to check for rats but, there was none to be seen. Then as we walked back through the orchard, toward the farm shop, we saw a Ra
  15. Hmm, I've never tried one of the Walthers but, they're starting to sound pretty good From the ones that I have owned and tried, my clear favourite is the TX200hc .22 in a Walnut stock. Part of the reason that I bought it was I grew up shooting a .22 springer so, I was looking for a quality springer that would give me a little nostalgia This thing didn't disappoint. I like the weight and the sturdy feel. Personally, I think it screams quality. Everything from the Walnut stock to the nice bluing, the trigger, the 'Made in England' stamped onto it, the way it's so easy to strip a
  16. Sorry mate that was my Labrador. He also killed two of my daughters........ we just haven't told her yet Your lab killed couple of your daughters, bloody hell. That's how I read it at first
  17. HAHAHA unless I start bagging some wabbits Jon I'm not selling anything well? However Jimmy did say he regretted getting rid of his and is thinking of snother???? You'll do well with some sneaky NV mate Trust me, Mac's got some skill to work with a torch - I'm fecked if I could do it .... Have a chat with David, he's been on my best rabbit permission - I'd be well and truly bollocksed without NV
  18. I like the earlier pepper spray idea ..... if there is a 'next time', spray him and his dogs (if need be) then, just casually walk away, smiling to yourself. Why take aggro if you don't have to
  19. That's the spirit ...... There's nothing like sitting there on boxing day and thinking 'Ah bollocks'
  20. Once a years enough ??Oh I agree mate ...... I'd be bankrupt if it was more than once a year After those long summer days, it's my favourite part of the year. There's nothing nicer than taking the dogs for a long walk in the cold then, coming home to some warm food that you don't usually get Enjoy it it mate - it's the little things that make it good
  21. Hope it works out for you Nelly ...... Mac needs someone to drag him into the 21st century Lamps ffs
