  1. I got bugger all from that. I placed a sneaky bet on Tiger Roll for little 'un - she got £47 ...... I'm happy with that.
  2. If all you need is someone to teach you how to shoot a springer without the lads in General Chat finding out, you can send me a pm
  3. Sounds like you're covered under the health risk bit. Get yourself an air rifle - you can have it on your shoulder while working and, shoot them when an opportunity presents itself
  4. Ah yes, the air gunners favourite
  5. We're not mutch for gambling in our house but, we always do the Grand National. I've got Total Recal, The Last Samurai and Chase the spud, all each way. I always put a sneaky bet on for little 'un in case her horses are crap ....... This time I've picked Seeyouatmidnight, each way, for her.
  6. Yep, I agree with Archie The scope may be one that came with it as a package that some shops are doing. Usually as a used price guide you go 2/3rds of the new price but, Gamo rifles aren't popular at the moment. I'd either start at around £110 and be open to offers or, stick it in the cupboard until I fancy having a go with it again.
  7. Ah, It's a new gun itch then In that case, there's better people to advise you on here than me Good luck
  8. Buy a shooting stick and fit a sling ....... If you go careful and double check, you'll get the rear stud bang on. Put an indent in the stock with the tip of a nail first, then make the first hole with a small pilot bit. Mark the depth on the drill bits with tape and, drill a pilot hole first. You already have a rifle that's better than any HW
  9. I prefer the screen type kit because putting my eye to an NV scop makes me feel dizzy. Turning the screen down is a good idea but, when you're out in the dark, it can still light up a white face. I use either a black wooly hat or baseball cap pulled down low and, some scrim pulled up over my nose. Also, the rabbits can get used to the red glow from the IR, especially when it's pointed directly at them. Try keeping them right on the edge of the screen while you stalk in. An extra IR torch, something like a T20, is excellent for extending the spotting range on
  10. They're good bits of kit Phil
  11. Today's the day mate Happy new rifle day - Keep us posted on how the testing goes
  12. Nice shot Rick - that one didn't even twitch after it was down
  13. I like that. It reminds me of the dinners we have when the freezer needs defrosting
  14. I do like the look of those Bn Funny though, I don't like the Compatto but, those Bantams with the small stock and large bottle look like they're built purely to do a job. You could camo that stock yourself - there was a post on the VHTV FB group where someone used leaves as stencils - it turned out well.
  15. Cracking job Si You know what that reminds of ..... These sell all day long at £75 a pop
  16. f***ing hell ........ Watching that made my hands sweat.
  17. Nope, I'm back at feckin work again Good luck mate - I'll look forward to the write up
  18. Good session mate I do like those older Vipers For me, for shooting with an NV add-on, they're only equalled by the Hawke Airmax. I find the SCB reticle a little easier to see than the AMX though.
  19. Nice one Chris I love being out at night and seeing what comes out. Well, apart from the shaggers in the rugby club car park
  20. Good shooting Mark It feels like an age since I've been out ....... I really must get that sorted as soon as I've found a new motor
  21. That's some number Pav ........ We know what you're having for tea for the next couple of months As VM says, what rifle are you using?
  22. I'm surprised to see this up for sale Jimmy. ....... Nice rifle for someone
  23. My condolences to you and your family Malt. ....... May your Dad rest in peace. I probably don't have to tell you who the blokes are on here for help and advice on your restoration project - I hope the 35 turns out exactly as you remember If you want some help identifying the other air rifles, put some pictures up, we'll do our best Atb
  24. Nice one Jeff Were you using those FAPs?
