Totally agree with the above post, but let’s face facts, for at least 3 decades the young have been told that they should be ashamed to have any national or historical pride, that it was a bad thing, something to be ashamed of. Add to that whole areas increasingly given over to the 3rd word with their 3rd world way of living and it all adds up to people who just don’t care any more. jmho8 points

Makes me laugh....breakfast club etc...if you cant afford to take the time to feed your children....then dont have any....its that simple...folks can afford the lastest phone, cosmetic treatments, motor on HP,3 bags for £100 on a school night etc Never had a handout,as long as ive had a hole in my arse....you want something, you get out and graft...by any means6 points

I know there is a lot of jest and tongue in cheek humour in some of these posts but I am increasingly seeing really mild mannered compassionate people expressing more and more what could be considered extreme views. Think it was Wilf who said how brutal and inhumane the most normal person can be when there backed into a corner and feel they have no other option. Cant see any middle ground for this issue now its going to go one of two ways and either aint pretty!6 points

Honest to god wifes just been on a walk with me local with dogs. There's a bridge crossing the canal & who's lurking about in Bridge a f***ing migrant from the hotel across the road. My misses said when walking past he wouldn't stop looking even turning his head. I was a few yards infront of her with dog. Anyway we've walked back and in the middle of the bridge was a big f***ing rock. He had our lass feeling uncomfortable. So a said ring the police then if you feel that he's upto no good call them. Because I don't want it on my conscience if owt happened to a woman know that it has been ha5 points

No I don’t putin has no intention of wiping out Ukraine otherwise it would have already happened, he wants a buffer zone between Russia and nato/eu which is what was agreed years ago by the west, we are currently flooding Ukraine with weapons to keep on poking the bear trump would withdraw funding and the war would end promptly try to keep up now back on the topic5 points

I remember the slum clearances of Newcastle in the late 50’s and early 60’s when we were moved from city centre slums that would be viewed with horror these days to a council estate in the suburbs. It was like we had won the lottery, or the pools as it was in those days. Indoor toilets and a bath !! Hot and cold running water, gas heating, green spaces for us kids to play, it was Elysian Fields, Shangrila, Utopia to us. move on a couple of decades and it was one of the worst sink estates in the country; high rise flats full of “problem families, crime, gangs, unemployment. The old lady had a habit of writing the date in books that were gifts when we were young. She must have known it would be handy to look back at. I used to really enjoy losing myself and goofing out in wildlife and bird books when I was a young un. Glad I hung onto it along with a few others!4 points

I don’t think he will make it to November. Its getting really embarrassing now, he looks senile and infirm. I think he will step down due to “I’ll health” but who knows who will take his place. It should be the VP, Kamila Harris, but she can’t beat Trump. There’s been talk of parachuting Michelle Obama in. Interesting times ahead ! Cheers.4 points

I guess a lot of it is reading we’re life is going and there are many old sayings that tell us the way, in this case nothing lasts forever, we knew that life on the estate was not what we wanted for our children etc so we got out estate life was quite nice and safe for us until drugs came and destroyed community’s the older generation tended to follow what there forefathers did because they new, no different but we do the world is a much smaller place and we can all see were things are going and make decisions to change things look how many of us on here have upsticks and left our old lives be4 points

I get what your saying mate but life throws us all a different hand, yours has worked out for you for others it don't how ever hard they try and thats when it leaves a bitter taste. You may go around to the local crack heads house burn the house down or put a hammer in their face, it may work, they move out and a nice family move in. Or you end up killing them doing time and whilst your in nick they move in a family of 14 Somalia's and their goat. Same actions different outcome. The way I see it hard work, pride and a massive chunk of luck and you may be ok if it dont you can take co4 points

An ex girlfriend of mine her son is a big time YouTuber made millions out of it. He's a gamer. Has offices in the states , bought his mum a house and employs a lot of the family. I remember him as a young kid all ways had something about him, switched on. Used get his mum go cash n carry and he would sell sweets and stuff at school. They a nice smart family. He has done well and I take my hat off to him.4 points

Ffs, why are some people still trying to discredit usyk's win against fury?! Seems that some people can't accept that usyk could've beaten fury, without some behind the scenes skulduggery!! f***ing nonsense. He was beaten by the better boxer on the night, it's as simple as that. Not a dig at you, G.3 points

Totally agree mate, the daily Mail wouldn’t exist without people thinking and feeing that animosity but imho it’s animosity directed at the wrong person and easy target I read a job advert the other day for a position in my old area, it was for a forklift driver….£27,000 a year. My old area is one of those post industrial commuter towns, the worst air quality in Britain is our little claim to fame, council housing built after the war, some older places from the original village but solid working class…..not in the least bit flash. Few pics from this afternoon, was our second wander of the day,a little earlier than the norm as it's forecast heavy rain here this afternoon & as I'm typing this I can see the rain on the window so thankfully we've just avoided a soaking which I'm personally very thankful for as I'm currently fecking crippled with both my back & hip,I've been unable to sleep for day's now & our wanders recently have been super slow & not too far either. I'm on a myriad of painkillers already but they ain't touching the pain, hopefully things will settle down again soon & trying to avoid a so3 points

Sorry I think you may have misunderstood. Its not a dig at breakfast clubs they are a goods thing its the fact on the video I posted Labour want to bring in free breakfast clubs for all kids. The bloke on the video pointed out nothing is free and tax payers will be funding it, which in a round about way brought us back to the original post where crack heads were having new windows installed paid for by the tax payer. Think thats right ?3 points

I just watched that mate and on the subject of free school meals I think he is talking out of his arse, it’s such a narrow minded un thought out statement to make that it’s almost childish…….again, I’d say, don’t ask who is paying, ask why they have to be there in Breakfast club in the first place ? Let people keep their money so mum (or dad) can stay at home, stop creating a system where people are reliant on being sold ever increasing amounts of debt by the chums at the bank so that only 1 person has to work , stop banks f***ing about selling ever increasing amounts of debt. Wise words charts but if any of my family were going through terrible things because of terrible people ( not just double glazing ) I would sacrifice my freedoms to rectify it, let’s be fair they still have plenty of none violent solutions like a council exchange or an extension- garage conversion for the grandparents if they feel so strongly about things he could even go round and change the lock himself rather than let the council charge them for it, my Nan was my rock as a kid I maintained her house until she died in my arms, I have moved my entire family onto a life on water because we hav3 points

You lived on a estate mate, like me you worked hard and got where you want to be today. Others work hard, prefer to stay in the area they grew up in and are happy with their lot until someone comes along and brings that area down and they may not have the ability or finances to move on. Don't think that's jealously, more disdain, confusion and frustration.3 points

Well I can only speak of my grandparents who were hard working folk and them on my fathers side raised 7 kids and when most of the back to back terraced houses were demolished late 40s and early 50s moved into brand new large 3 bed council houses on new estates with large gardens that they kept like palaces as they knew how lucky they were and did not abuse what they got. With the right to buy what the torys brought in most were bought for them by their grown up kids. I don't see how it's there fault if nearby properties are still owned by the council and the council decide to put scumbags in3 points

Sorry to be the bad apple and piss on everyone’s fire but your grandparents early choices led them to be were they are today, I have never trusted authority since childhood so made my own life plans don’t have any pensions or council help I bought my first house in my early twenty’s went through a recession that saw interest rates hit 14% so worked 7 days and a couple of nights a week to see my family right and keep hold of that house because I knew in old age no other c**t was going to take care of me or mine I am now about to reap the rewards of decisions I made 40 plus years ago and sadly s3 points

I met a kid in Istanbul a few months back, dark haired kid from Burnley or Oldham,in his 20’s,also bought his mum a house,he wasn’t blagging me because he showed me pics and vids,he had lived in LA for a year,he said he was a gamer and used to get 10,000 people paying to get into a venue to watch him and his brother game on giant screens. He lives in Malta now,set up some sort of online gambling business,I remember thinking it’s funny how some peoples lives turn out and they separate from the 9-5 herd to move into something totally different.3 points

See their pushing the shingles vaccine now. I got shingles about 5 years ago and felt shite and it took best part of a month to clear up but no way would I have a vaccine for it and part of that's down to how the establishment conned and put pressure with threats of loosing your job and not being able to travel with the covid jab.3 points

Its not just smack heads, there seems to be this mindset in general that if you rent, private or council, you don't have to even keep your windows clean or cut your grass. Prides gone out of the country and its got nothing to do with money. It costs bugger all to wipe your windows down with a rag when there's a bit of condensation on them. My grandparents had bugger all but Nan would wash her step down and brasso the door lock once a week, shitty old wooden sash windows not fancy upvc but were always kept immaculate.2 points
