Amazing that this was effectively written by two ‘kids’, but the real genius for me was casting Robin Williams.

More a sequence than a scene, but love the ending to this.

Seems we did win Euro ‘20 after all ??????? More than 1,200 people in Scotland died of drug misuse last year, new figures show. The much-delayed figures show a record number of deaths for the sixth year in a row and the highest total since records began in 1996. The figure of 1,264 is a 6% increase on 2018 and more than double the number of deaths in 2014. It is the worst rate recorded in Europe and about three and a half times the rate for England and Wales.

That’s kind of what was on my mind. Griffiths is a grade A idiot, but he was investigated with no further action taken so presumably innocent of any wrong doing. But I guarantee he’ll be looked upon as a nonce by many for a long time to come. Not really fair, but mud sticks.

Has he been charged? If it turns out he’s guilty he should be strung up.., simple, but if it turns out he did nothing wrong then, fcuk me, you wouldn’t wish this on your worst enemy. His life is fcuked either way. Hope the rozzers get to the bottom of it asap.

I’ll send you something to put on its neck. Should sort the flea problem, just PM your addy mate ?

Kind of agree, but I think the boy McAleese had the CV for it, no? And he hand picked most of the guys brought in for it. Maybe some of the military minded members could advise, but I’d have thought that when mounting an assault from the air, that the weather and cloud conditions would be right up there in terms of planning priorities? “Fail to plan, then plan to fail” right enough. Think they were all very lucky to get out of Colombia alive!

Killing Escobar. Documentary about Brit and Ozzy mercenaries hired by the Cali cartel to kill Pablo Escobar. Not the best but still a fascinating story, even though the mission failed pretty spectacularly. Think it’s on iPlayer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000vw6l

The importance of saying “this is a stupid idea”
pesky1972 replied to THE STIFFMEISTER's topic in General Talk
This weather always gets people in the water, and then we have the inevitable deaths that follow. Some poor guy was fished out of Thriepmuir reservoir near Edinburgh today. You can (and should) teach your kids to swim, but they’ll still make stupid decisions. Your only hope is they get to live and learn from them. In my early twenties, after a night spent in the boozer, a pissed up group of us decided to jump off the bridge in Grantully on the river Tay. It’s not particularly high, but the river runs very quick there (the rapids above are used by the Scottish canoe slalom team for train -
Done well to make 59 with his lifestyle. RIP

Will be remembered as a very good player from a very good era for football. RIP

I must’ve had a smart phone maybe 15 years. Never ‘update’, just keep adding to contacts. Reckon I must have at least 50-100 I’ll never ring again (unless I hear they’ve won the Euro-millions) and a dozen at least that are now dead ?Funny I can’t bring myself to delete the numbers of dead people off my phone. Is that normal, or am I weird?

‘Sake. Feared the worst for him there ?

Spent a few nights in Dingle with the missus a few years back. Got ‘talking’ with an older couple at the next table to us. Chatted for about half an hour.., I didn’t understand a fcukin word they said. Lovely people in a beautiful part of the world though.

Had a look on some near me. Can’t say they look ‘busier’ than normal. Not saying there isn’t an increase in rescues due to lockdown, but the impression of there being a crisis is probably good for fund raising. Thing is you look on Gumtree and the like, even adult dogs being sold for hundreds, even thousands. No end to the madness in sight yet.

Always reckon it’s easier to regret something you did, rather than something you didn’t. As been said, life is short, and so if you’re that unhappy, make the change. If it was me I’d want to get enough cash saved to cover me for at least a couple of months, just in case it takes a while to get going. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

Enjoyed watching him fight. RIP

Can’t be doing with all that supposition and speculation about who’d win a fight based on previous events. There’s only one way we’ll ever find out who would win. And if I was forced to bet all I have, I’d probably edge on Fury. Thing is you trumpet Fury like some sort of fan boy, and want to discount everything Joshua has achieved. As a ‘neutral’ that just sounds ridiculous to me. The calibre of opponent Joshua has faced has consistently been higher. And not forgetting, the reason we haven’t seen them in a ring together is down to Tyson Fury, not his management, his trainer, broadcaster or an

Berocca. Probably a placebo as much as an actual health benefit ?

That’s living alright. Wouldn’t want to do it every day mind and get bored with it ?

My last house was built, I reckon, within a few yards of where my first ever lurcher caught her first hare. The house I live in now built on land I played on, hunted, nested, and was chased off of quite a few times as a boy in halcyon days. Funny thing is there are a few mature trees, old hawthorn hedges, and burn courses left, all hidden amongst the housing to remind me. Kind of makes it even sadder. And when I tell my kids “when I was your age, this was all just fields” I hear my late dad’s voice in my head, and realise the sadness he had in his heart when he told me the same about his old s

Tbf I heard a ‘friend’ of hers interviewed on the (BBC) radio who speculated that a ‘rival gang’ drove past the party she was at and opened fire ‘indiscriminately’. However, that would also suggest she’s part of a ‘rival gang’ ? If you fly with the crows etc., etc.

Haven’t watched all of this, and fast Eddie is definitely worth the watching, but I tell you what, I’d trust him over Arum and Warren every day of the week. This looks more and more like those pair have done a number on Hearn, and Fury was probably in on it too. Might well come back and bite them. Tell you another thing, I’ll pay to watch AJ v Usyk, but if Fury and Wilder III was fought in my back garden, I’d draw the curtains. Fcukin shithouse dossers the lot of them.

I just like straight shooters, and I want to see the best fight the best, that’s all. Obviously punters like me don’t see everything that goes on behind the scenes, but I do think the fight has been offered to Fury, and the only reason it hasn’t happened yet is Fury..., yet he does most of the talking. If Wilder knocks him out, he’ll get no rematch. And if I was AJ I’d hunt him.
