Hadn’t seen this before. Armstrong did well to keep a straight face.

Poisoned (probably accidentally) would be my guess. Could have starved, but it’s not been a harsh winter and they can cover a huge area looking for prey/carrion. The image below shows how far 6 birds wandered from the Isle of Wight release site. Only seen a couple but quite some sight. Edited to add source: Latest news - Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation WWW.ROYDENNIS.ORG Proactive wildlife management and innovative...

CATS. Fcuking hate the things! I actually don’t hate the cats but our society’s hypocrisy when compared with dog ownership. Let your dog chase a hare, the most natural scenario in the world, and you’re a criminal. Some estimate that cats kill tens of millions of birds and small mammals in the UK each year, and barely a word said.., or worse, squeamish cat owners laughing at how puss keeps bringing dead stuff to the door. Imagine ten million dogs let out every night to go hunting alone.., there wouldn’t be deer, fox, hare or rabbit etc. left in the land. Dog owners can be fined (right

Getting easy this now ?????????

Let’s hope the truth comes out and what’s right is right. Why anyone would voluntarily post that on social media is beyond me. It obviously looks pretty damning, but I’ll reserve judgement until the investigation/trial is concluded.

The Alpinist on Sky. Documentary about Marc-Andre Leclerc, a Canadian free soloist mountain climber. I find these characters fascinating. I know they’re cut from different cloth to most of us, but it’s their really laid back demeanour that intrigues me. Is that something the climbing brings, or is it people who naturally have that type of mindset maybe excel in climbing? Either way it seems a nice way to breeze through life. Risky fcukin sport though ?

If Boris doesn’t go then there won’t even be a shred of credibility left for the tories.., or accountability to the electorate in British politics. The cvnt should have done the decent thing and resigned last year. If it wasn’t for the Sue Gray ‘inquiry’ I think the vote of no confidence would be in by now. Either way its in the post for him now. My money is on this week, and a leadership challenge which he surely can’t win, and the coup de grace, begun when detail of parties was leaked last year, will be complete.

Steak and mince by now. ??

This won’t be popular with some, but I don’t like when people refer to the BBC as being ‘full of nonces’. Not defending the BBC and have no truck with their left wing bias, and woke agenda, and firmly believe it should be wound up but.., fact is there are over 20,000 people work for the BBC. I doubt if a significant % of those who work there and are nonces, is higher than that in wider society and calling the whole organisation nonces is lazy and unfair. It’s like saying all lorry drivers kill prostitutes because Peter Sutcliffe drove a lorry. People abuse kids, not TV broadcasters, churches

A really nice cover of one of my favourite Dylan tracks…, Buckets of Rain. Worth a listen if you know it.

Not her maybe.., but I take your point ?

This is about right with those sneaky chancing b*****ds ?

I think his number might be up this time. Cnut.

Not a film but a 3 part documentary on ‘The Man Who Bought Cricket’. I was vaguely aware of this story at the time, but not a fan of the sport and so didn’t pay too much attention. Fascinating illustration of how many (most) people are utterly seduced by money. Worth a watch.

Enjoyed the Christmas special, and the appearance of Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbot playing in a pub. Another clip online which never made the cut, but I thought was nice. -

Love the ‘Concerto d’Orange Juice’ scene in Brassed Off. Beautiful piece of music. Lovely little film as well by the way, well done ?

Watched Daddy’s Home 2 with the kids for Christmas Eve. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Not usually my thing, but a couple of scenes where I nearly pissed myself. Good, funny family film.

Last Orders on Sky. Sentimental drama about friends and family carrying out the last wishes of a dead man, and reflecting on their lives. Maybe 7/10 for me, something to watch in the holidays.

Taylor wasn’t even nominated, whereas Fury was ? The thing is, and it always has been, a cringy popularity contest, rather than reward for monumental sporting achievement, although the girl that won the US open deserved to at least be in with a shout. And so should have Taylor. Tom Daly came 2nd.., and his achievement (fair enough) was a gold in a pairs event…, but where the fcuk was his partner’s nomination? His vote comes from the fact he’s gay, recently married and a new ‘father’. Whole thing now is about diversity rather than recognising significant sporting achievement. BBC al

Does he? Show me some evidence please.

That’s my point though. The ‘rules’ allow a car trailing by 8 or 9 seconds, to get right on the rear wheel of the leader, and onto tyres which will see him easily win a one lap race. The rules are sh!te imo. And I’d be saying the same if it was Hamilton gaining advantage over Verstappen.
